Hey guys, I'm a newfag who wants to make it, i have an ok job and thinking of pumping around 200 bucks into crypto, where do I start?

I downloaded the Coinbase app, is it safe and okay to connect my bank account to it or buy crypto with my credit card?

Also, what cryptocurrency do you guys recommend? I don't have urgent need of money, I am looking to invest into something reliable that has a future on the long run
