I understand eth really well and use it almost every day. I just don't buy the arguments for value accrual. I buy a little ETH, I spend it to use the Eth network. Plus I believe that bitcoin will ultimately be the number collateral form on Eth lending apps within the year.

I did buy some Eth options the other day but I wouldn't bother accumulating it for gains when much better token models exist on Eth.

I personally think that the value of ETH is that you can apply the BTC narrative to it and it serves all of those purposes better. Calling something that has inflation and centralized transaction approval a SOV or hard money just isn't correct and applies to ETH and BTC. I think that this is all speculating on future protocol use and possibilities.

If you are really worried about money hardness and inflation there is an EIP that Vitalik is helping with right now that will set the inflation to 0 using a new fee model that also removes the fee market. So basically stable fees and a burn that feeds the block reward.

Those are fair points anon. I personally think ETh's future is just as a nonconsumable commodity that powers the ETH network. I think DAPP devs will always seek the most value possible in their protocols, so it's natural that they'll implement BTC support when it's functional. Everybody wins in that scenario because maxis can earn sats for hodling.

But you're probably right in the near term, Eth will moon again. I think BTC is better money, ETH is a better platfrom to build the future of finance. With ETH you can be exposed to whatever asset you want.
