AMD, easy. new playstation and xbox coming out for christmas 2020 both use AMD chips, nearest catalyst is financial analyst day on march 5th. they lowered guidance last quarter so expect them to crush it on earnings this year, they basically singlehandedly created the perfect pullback to set up for the coming year, had to release some of the pressure built up over the extremely high expectations so they can take the stock even higher. they have one of the best management teams in the business, are taking market share from the big boys through their innovation, and have a strong chance of their "nvidia killer" big navi GPU coming out this year being a huge success. and they're only $48-52 dollars currently per share, with hugely positive social sentiment. people love the company and use its products.

you miss out on the current pullback at your own peril. it's already returning to the uptrend it had before the coronavirus tanked the market.

But that's nothing compared with the flu, also called influenza. In the U.S. alone, the flu has already caused an estimated 19 million illnesses, 180,000 hospitalizations and 10,000 deaths this season, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

It's okay but what you really want is to get options on the unleveraged ETF SOXL is based on so go for either SOXX or S M H (without the spaces (damn filter)). Even more leverage. I think ATM leaps start around 4.5x and you can go up from there. Great liquidity too. Sometimes if I'm all in on SOXL and we take a nice dive I'll roll to calls to take extra advantage of the bounce

Question guys about WPG (Washington Prime Group Inc)

They have 30% yield on dividends right now. Stock value have been going down constantly. It's a REIT (meaning they can avoid taxes by giving 90% of earning to share holders).

What's up with WPG? Sinking ship or great opportunity for dividends? If so then why hasn't more people bought it? You'd think a company that can pay 30% dividends would have their stock increase every year, not decrease...

afaik it's usually not the starting of a phase but the completion of a phase that matters, whether they pass or fail. also milestone payments if they are partnered, or potential M&A from big pharma or BP. basically they can get bought out too.

a popular high probability setup is to look for stocks (biotech or otherwise) that are under $1 and are knocking up against the $1 mark with good fundamentals (or at least good hype/high expectations) behind them. you find a good place to buy in around support and you sell after it breaks through the wall of sellers at $1 and when it spikes that's when you take your profits.

Right. So if I want to gain exposure to the fictional index of SPY (SEK), that is S&P 500 * SEKUSD, I can kind of do this by delta hedging.

The ideal asset should go up 1% if S&P goes up by 1%, 1% if SEKUSD goes up by 1%, and ~2% if both go up by 1%.

So if my delta for S&P is 1 and my delta for SEKUSD is 1%, I have replicated it.

(Except it both go up, because I haven't hedged gamma)

Are there any pitfalls?

sure but only as much as you put in. unlike using margin for leverage options can never result in you owing money no matter how bad it gets. also there are no margin calls so even if you go in with the equivalent of 100x and it takes a dive you don't have to worry about your position getting closed out. if it recovers you still make money. the only downside for options is the time limit and theta so you have to consider your situation before making a play

does anyone actually use your site atm? what sorta traffic are we looking at here, do you have any stats on how posting those stats on a regular basis actually effects the market for stocks that are mentioned with enough frequency? is it just about number of times the stock name or symbol is mentioned, or does what is being said about the stock have an impact?

basically im wondering how i can use it to manipulate people and make money for myself. and by extension, how anyone here could do that potentially.

don't play earnings, except maybe with some sort of options hedge where you win based on volatility instead of direction (it's not whether it goes up or down, just that it goes in one direction or the other by a lot). i made that mistake with AMD, i got greedy with the run up and didn't get out as soon as i read about the coronavirus (had the same issue with not understanding the significance of the us-china trade war escalation this past summer). i've since averaged down and i know i'll be making bank over the course of the year, but it still feels bad when i should have known better.

it's much better, safer, and more predictable to buy the rumor and sell the news. don't play earnings, instead play the hype leading up to it and then play the results after the earnings actually comes out and you play the reaction to it.

It depends, a lot of pharma stocks are similar to shitcoin PND scams. They come out with huge claims about potentially curing gonnaherpasiphilitis, pump on news and dump shortly after. From my experience, the key to success trading pharma stocks is to look at the research and see if their drug can a) actually do what they say, b) has a low risk profile so it is likely to get FDA approval and c) if there is a similar drug that already exists in the market.

This is my shill for TMDX, I might make it every other day or something from now on soit doesn't get annoying. The rate of DCD heart recoveries from only 2 centers is skyrocketing and TMDX builds the only FDA approved EVHP machine in the market. Within the transplant world, there are numerous other centers starting up DCD heart program. I naturally expect their earnings moving forward to increase significantly.

$48 is strong support, only got to around $46 because of the massive overreaction panic to the coronavirus (can we just start calling it CV? im sick of typing the whole thing out, fuck). had nothing to do with the company itself, just panic over CV. $46 would be great but $48 is much more realistic of an entry point currently, i doubt it will dip much below that now that the fears are subsiding and the panic has cooled. i bought some more this morning at $48.

maybe AMD does get hit after earnings but i didn't know that as im a relatively new investor in it. i've been developing a TA day trading system which i am working on coding an EA to trade it automatically for me, but i've given myself until the end of the year to make absolutely sure i've crossed all my T's and dotted all of my I's. my brother suggested i put at least half of my money into something while im working on developing my trading bot since otherwise it's just sitting there doing nothing, so after doing research i settled on AMD. even though im technically down atm i played it when it was bouncing around $48-50 and through the $50 breakout leading up to earnings, so im still ahead ultimately. like i said, my greed got the better of me, but it's all just a learning experience and will be fine in the long run, and it's not particularly hard to trade the /ES while I wait for $55.

it's all just a learning experience in the end, the key is to try to mitigate how much time or money the learning experiences cost you. it's why i still do a lot of paper trading when experimenting and collecting data, while sticking to the stuff i know works with real money.

where's the biden prosecution on this? feels like if you're a top ranking democrat official you could get away with murder and brag about it openly and they'd give you a nobel peace prize or something for it. it's really fucked up when you start to dig deeper into the biden ukraine situation, which is literal full-blown corruption, and compare it to the absolute circus of the trump impeachment attempt over what essentially amounts to him asking for help with investigating actual corruption that was bragged about with video evidence. they attempt to crucify a guy who was actually doing the right thing while they try to make the guy who actually did that same thing, into the democrat nominee for president. crazy shit.

In 1992, H. Ross Perot raised the idea of using the ATM as a vote recording machine, for accuracy, security, paper trail, and cost savings.

$10 billion is expected to be spent this year on elections. That's a whole lot of influence! The swamp got everything they wanted from Trump, that's why 50/51 Republican dirt bag spear catchers exonerated him.

OK I've only watched 5 minutes, but here's what I got so far.

The Houses impeachment officers have invoked Biden and Burisma over 400 times, stating there was no reason for concern over what Biden had to do with Burisma. Now these concerns were brought up by ABC news, the United Kingdom's Serious Fraud Department, Washington Post, New York Times, Ukrainian Law Enforcement and even the Obama State Department. In 2014 Ukraine is corrupt and Joe Biden is named as the point man for routing out corruption in Ukraine. Now you have to understand that Brasima is run by this Oligarch and Biden's son Hunter was put on the board of Barisma by this Oligarch. Now Amassador Volkar in his sworn testimony to the house committee under oath said Burisma is a very bad company and known for its corruption and money laundering.

That's all I got so far, but I think it looks fine. This Hunter Biden guy, probably had a ton of experience and was more than qualified to be on the board. Surely there was no American tax payer money funneled to Ukraine or Burisma and we just respected their sovereignty.

Well in March of 2014 the UK Fraud dept opens a Money-Laundering investigation to Burisma. Then she goes on about this guy Devin Archer, who was college room-mates with John Kerry's Step-son Chris Hines, and Archer, Hines and Hunter opened an investment firm together. On April, 16th Devin Archer meets with VP Biden at the White House and 2 days later he brings Hunter onto the board of Barisma. Now 10 days later 23 million dollars are frozen by the UK in their banks that is connected to the oligarch that own Barisma, and only after these funds are frozen is it announced that Hunter is on the board.

I mean you should just watch the video your self. We're only about 6 minutes in.

So the 23 million was unfrozen, and assistant to sec. of state John Kerry testified this was most likely because of a bribe. Then the prosecutor that was investigating the bribery allegations is the same guy that Biden said would have to be fired or the country is not getting the billion dollars.

I mean it's no smoking gun, but the oligarch got his 23 million, Kerry's sons former room mate and hunter Biden get 3 million each, and all of this was for the 1 billion in aid at the expense of taxpayers. also 100 million of that aid was earmarked for energy, which barisma is the only place to get energy in Ukraine.
