Tldr looking for ways with flexible time investment to supplement my salary

FT gov employee working weekdays in a fast paced multi tasking communication environment using radio and text messaging sort of as a dispatch for aircraft basically and sometimes off grid for weeks at a time.

I'm looking for ways to supplement my income to make some purchases without living paycheck to paycheck/giving up the option to save. Ive played with penny stocks but lost money and didn't go back as it felt intimidating.
