So Tesla is going to buy Glencore(GLEN) which not only is a top producer of cobalt, but they produce a bunch of other minerals and metals as well. They produced 42000 tonnes of cobalt in 2018 alone, that's 21 times what Panasonic or LG needed for their batteries.

This means that Tesla will have zero trouble sourcing cobalt in the future and it secures the supply chain for producing tens of millions of vehicles or power wall batteries. The plan was to do away with cobalt completely, but their new 'one million mile' battery chemistry needs it and this was the next best option. This gives Tesla a bit of a moat around their battery technology since other EV producers would have to use whatever Cobalt they can get which is usually mined using child labor or do away with it and use inferior battery chemistry. Tesla's vertical integration will allow them to produce a battery cheaper than their competitors and widen their already high profit margin.

how does this coincide with musk's ambitions of their next-gen batteries being cobalt-free? https://cleantechnica.com/2018/06/17/teslas-cobalt-usage-to-drop-from-3-today-to-0-elon-commits/
also, the cobalt industry is messed up using child niggers in their mines, diseases, dramatically shortened life-spans (worse than coal miners)
i'd expect some international legislation or other to disrupt this eventually. probably its a non-issue for the next few years though

>how does this coincide with musk's ambitions of their next-gen batteries being cobalt-free?
It depends if they can get the cobalt out of their new battery chemistry. Tesla still uses less cobalt than some other manufacturers like VW.
>i'd expect some international legislation or other to disrupt this eventually
Yeah, if it becomes profitable enough they could mine it in a lot of other places, which is why I don't think it's good for them to try to do away with it all together when it could improve performance. It's just a metal after all.

I don't know about that. I don't want to gamble too much on the buyout/no buyout speculation. I still think it's coming, however I am a bit risk averse in these situations. There are better signs for me, and the assumption that management knows as well, that most of the potential will be wasted for years, if they wanted to do the trial alone. Also, I don't think big pharma needs the additional phase2 results for confirmation of drug effects. Multiple partnerships are unlikely. The dosing is similar in multiple indications, it would be weird. Getting agreement on the price is a difficult thing though. This is a blockbuster drug in the making if I ever see one, so a mere 1bil probably won't cut it

But you can't have bad news like suddenly the drug is not working or kills people in rare cases. There are over 3000 papers literally crying out in unison to block galectins. Modified citrus pectin can be bought as a supplement and can be used in preclinical testing to get the science mostly together. The target, the working mechanism, the applications are sure, it's just a matter of delivering in humans and finding the right dose. And that is already proven to be OK with galt. The payment is sure, it is just a matter of when. But meanwhile people will keep dying left and right, and galt has the patents. It simply can't be left on the roadside

you can see it as whatever you want.
dividends are nice, but they aren't critically important. You want to invest in companies based on the size, growth, and girth of their earnings. As long as they have very nice earnings for their price, then it's probably a decent buy. The company can use those earnings by re-investing them, buying back their shares, or paying you out in dividends (or a mixture of these).
I like dividends. I like stocks. If you start buying nice stocks, you will learn to love them too.

i used to be obsessed with girls assholes and farts and braps and stuff like that and i think it was mostly because of this place that started it for me.

then one day i was at starbucks and they only have one restroom and i waited and this really hot girl went in to pee, but she was in there for a long time. the entire time i am imagining her perfect ass shitting so of course when she came out i jumped up to go in and tried to act natural. i had planned to try to masturbate to the smell and imagine her but OH MY GOD it was terrible. the smell wasnt arousing at all! i tried to get hard but i literally couldnt so i just peed and left.

that ended my brap phase

Yeah. I saw a cop literally jogging down the street chasing some smellz the other day and nearly crashed my car I was laughing so hard. All I could think of were the brap memes and how they destroyed my life. I sniffed a girl's butthole about a month ago and it smelled so terrible I think I'm gay now. I guess I didn't expect it to be so soul-crushingly abhorrent. In the days afterwards it was all I could think about when talking to her, and I ended up distancing myself as fast as possible and I'm pretty sure she knows why. I honestly haven't had any interest in her or any other women since it happened. I feel like a meme killed my sex drive and I don't know what to do.

We don’t know that there’s no more news... maybe corporate confidence can rise? Please? Guys?

Shit I should’nt be buying Cisco and soxl if enterprise spending/capex isn’t gonna go up.

Is this new or just “fed CONSIDERING lending to hedge funds”. They were considering a sorts of advanced QE last spring.

yeah, and it will pump as long as they are considering it and it will pump even harder if they actually do it. (((They))) will unironically not let 2008 happen without trying every audacious trick in the book. It'll make synthetic CDOs look like a pragmatic, sensible idea. We bull run now.

Anyone shorting now is a retard, it's going to go up more based on FOMO/speculation. The fact that you think believing Tesla is overvalued means you would immediately short it says an awful lot about how monumentally thick you are

t. a former short seller that got ruined and is now salty about it

Also, your posts are completely contradictory and you don't seemingly know what "bearish" means, but I expect nothing less from a retard.

>\I know you are but what am I' post
>Still claiming you're not retarded

It's getting ironic at this point. Why don't you tell us more about how everyone you know with any financial sense is bearish on TSLA yet that doesn't mean the stock will go down in the near term future and that everyone who thinks otherwise is the actual retard. That's totally well formed idea and coherent, right?
