No and the tenderloins we're not prepped right either. Next time cut out the tendons and lightly cover in flour with salt and pepper. Bring the pan with a 1/4 inch deep oil up to med-high heat and then put the chicken in. Brown it on both sides and then put into a heated oven at 350f for 15-20 min, or untill the inside of the meat is 165f. Let it rest covered for a few minutes before you eat.

I don't normally use oil for chicken breasts, when I do I don't recall seeing it smoke as it gets absorbed into the meat almost istantly, but if it concerns you butter is ok, more tasty than supermarket olive oil.

You should season it... get yourself a jar of mrs dash atleast. And some salt and pepper. Also use the flat side of a meat tenderizer to flatten the chicken out for even cooking.
