It's insane looking back 10 years ago at how cheap certain stock were. I wish I was in it at the time, there are some that were obviously going to go up and I would have gone in hard. What are some relatively cheap ones you feel will grow exponentially as the years come? For me, I still think AMD is really cheap for how much they have and will continue to grow. NIO is something people brought up and I am looking in it now to see if it has a long term future. Anything else people here think would fit into this?

Sigh it it was that easy everyone would be rich as fuck. The best you can do is bag a Fund and ride the wave for 20+ years, adding to it monthly/annually of course for 19 of them. It's a proven thing that the Fund outdoes just random stocks over time. Random stocks, you got a 50/50 deal that long term they'll hold up. The Fund, well it'll be there long as whoever owns it decides to keep it going (Vanguard, etc). But for a quick buck short term stocks are the better play, risky as hell, but short term profits can be a nice way to kick start a nice long term Fund position.

If you're not going to put in a big investment then you're not going to make money anyway. If you're looking to get a living wage from passive divvy earnings then you're going to want at least $150,000~200,000 at minimum in dividend stocks. On the topic of who to invest in, WPG was brought up a few threads ago as a reliable stock with a good payout (~18%), but a quick Google search and some research on your part ought to show up a few more.

But.. back then you didn't know it was cheap. Back then you might have thought it was too expensive since you lacked the information of today. It's easy to say it was cheap back then and that you would have invested like crazy but that wouldn't be the case. For example, did you buy anything in late 2018 when a majority of stocks tumbled? Did you buy AMD at 16 when it tanked by 50%? Nope, a vast majority of people didn't because of fear and lack of knowledge.
Just try and think with common sense for a second. It's the 2020s now and tech is rapidly advancing 5G/cloud services. So do some research in some cheap ass stock that focuses in that particular topic and invest in them if they look good enough. Try to read as much as possible about the company, if they are cooperating with some big boy companies (which increases the chance of them getting bought up for example or get involved in the big company in some way), etc etc.

Take some risks, stop thinking about the past.

AMD are one of only three companies in the CPU industry, the pioneers of the x64 and multi-core architecture used in nearly every CPU today, and the providers of the processors in every mainstream video game console on the market; thinking they would do anything but continue to grow as they pull Intel down from their pedestal with every passing day is silly, especially given that Intel haven't innovated at all in a very long time while AMD have continued to push forward.

I'm also more tired nowadays but that could just be me being doing the same shit for the past 5+ years. Still though, if reverse aging becomes a thing when I'm 30, 40 or even 50.. I'm going to pay large sums to do it. Can you imagine the shit we are going to miss out on? Sure we can probably enjoy super realistic sexbots when we're 70 or whatever but you're still old and slow by then and your mind will not be the same as it is now. You want to be young and experience these things.
So, reverse aging(which will probably be limited in some ways because nature and stuff)? Hell yeah. Immortality? Only if I become super rich, or else there's literally no point since you will have experienced everything there is to do on this earth and probably a few other planets by 2200.. so what then? securities fraud in most cases end up with the SEC catching you on a count or two, you get away with the other 9 counts or you get away with the buddies you tipped off because they were anonymous at the time (and they pay you for the damages), you pay what you earned illicitly plus some extra and you're barred from trading (or not) and serving on the SEC board
in most cases, they're small time damages, they're 2% of a portfolio that amounts to 25 million, 50 million, 100 million; the good ones have contingencies, the bad ones get caught, the really bad ones plead the fifth at a congressional testimony and badmouth those at the hearing on twitter, fucking lol

railway cargovolume and electricity consumption data in China are still growing positively, although not as much as before and not as much as the claimed "real" GDP growth.
Tencent was at the level of around 100HKD in year 2016, then its stock price skyrocketed to about 460HKD around the end of year 2017, and at the time I recall hearing about the stock on streer and in TV investment program everyday. After the top it fell to about 250HKD at the bottom and then stabilize at the level of around 300HKD throughout most of 2019. Now it seems to be challenging the 400HKD level.

What about the future of the HK protests?
Do you think that there will be any continuation, or is it inevitable that Beijing wins a slow victory?

Looking back over 2019, is there any way that the CIA could have supported the protestors more and achieved a higher level of impact? Is there anything that the protesters could have done differently to be more effective?

you need to partner with an artist and make an occult manga series. Or a mixed manga/book series.
I think it has a possibility of being more successful artistically and commercially.

Nearest thing that comes to mind is The Invisibles, but it was way too episodic, and there was almost no long-term interconnection between elements. Also it wasn't really abstract enough, in terms of subject matter or art. But it was still an attempt to make a thing, and that's what counts.

>What about the future of the HK protests?
I think it will evolve into some sort of long lasting social instability and threat from the police force integrated into the daily life of people in the city. The way Beijing and HKSAR government treating citizens of Hong Kong have continually alienating most population of Hong Kong, yet their effective governance in the city is not exlected to face very serious threat at the current level of protest activity. The previous landslide election couldn't bring any material change to the city as those councils being elected are very powerless, and other upcoming elections that would elect councilors with some actual power have been rigged to the point that even with such landslide proportion of votes it is still almost impossible to gain majority of seats, plus the government now have the power to decide who can become a candidate in election so that is not likely to be a working route. One of the more likely option I see is for the tension and level of conflict in the city to escalate toward pre independent Ireland level in a relatively long term future. Another possibility is for Beijing to neutralize the population of Hong Kong by.migrating Chinese mainland citizens into Hong Kong at a more active pace while also pushing residents of Hong Kong back to mainland China more actively amd effectively realign the image of the city toward the way it want to paint it as. It would be better if P.R.C. fall apart or being succeeded before the situation escalate to these points, or it started its own systemic revolutionization although that's even more unlikely, so that Hong Kong could have its own room to breath and reorganize but those are very unlikely. Such situation would more likely to happen if all western countries can come together and form an united front against China but from what we can see in the Huawei incident that seems to be asking too much.

Given the experience there are certainly things that can be improved if they are to happens again but since none of us have time machine and the movement is quite decentralized, it was not really possible to prevent some of those less optimal actions being conducted back then. As for what CIA and other similar organizations could have do better, given that they don't directly offer any help in local events in Hong Kong, I guess at least they should try to talk to Facebook and Google and persuade them to spend more efforts on removing fake news and government propaganda from their platforms instead of trying to target content that Chinese government don't like whoch the two companies are doing now and they could also send information of some backdoor or security exploit they discovered to Apple Microsoft and Google so that these OS vendors can patch their system and reduce the risk of hostile government using those same exploit to access private data on devices of victimized individual. They can also try to investigate various American internet companies and see whether there have been any individuals in them leaking data to countries like China.

If you're looking at Chinese stocks you should also be looking at South East Asia stocks as well. $SE is very similar to Tencent, and I believe $SE is backed by Tencent as well. They're trying to secure a digital banking license in Singapore currently, so there is some upside potential in 2020, but they face tough competition - similar to most Chinese and South East Asia companies.

Also it's also reported that their app have been named by Chinese government as an archetypal user violation app that obtain user privacy information illegally, with their official explanation on their use of various permissions being they need to verify not just users phone number but also user phone MAC addresses to prevent users abusing their discounts, I wonder whether they're also selling these information.

They would pick some particularly worse offenders from time to time and put blame on them to show they aren't doing nothing. Usually they would only need to correct their behavior and maybe pay a little bit of fine to the government then that'd be okay.
>Any idea if the government is as friendly with Nike as I have heard? Any rising Chinese competitors looking to replace them?
I don't have much knowledge in the sportswear market. I know there is a big Chinese sportswear company named Li Ning but that's not a new one. But a quick Google search show that their active delisting of political sensitive products and lineup from their Chinese shops appears to help their smooth operation in the market.

And there's also a worry that since Luckin Coffe's current quick expansion of their customer base is triggered by many lose-making deep discounts and coupons on their coffee, many of those customers might stop visiting them if they stop offering those unprofitable low cost coffee and start charging regular price which is something that can be sure to happen in the future as they are a listed company and they don't have infinite amount of cash to burn.

I shilled it once and I said I wouldn't do it again but if you want a gook stock look at MYT. It is a new-ish company and their stock is cheap as fuck. Tea is not as popular as coffee but they are slowly opening new stores so it seems like they are trying to grow. Its definitely a LONG TERM HOLD stock if the company doesnt go bankrupt.

Yes, they have more money on the books than they know what to do with, but you don't want berkshire to pay dividends, you want them to invest that cash for you. Or hold it if they deem it necessary. You can diversify into different investment strategies yourself, don't go 100% BRKB. But damn it is a good stock to buy if you want diversification into value and financials.

Luckin Coffee has pum and dump dynamics. IIRC, last thursday they went up by 12% in one fuckin day, went down 4% the next day. It's way too volatile right now, and the fundamentals are not that attractive.

IMO asian markets is where its at right now. There's a shitload of money coming out and into china and there are many solid stonks that are still undervalued. Tencent is one of them, but it's literally full of them. Fosun, xiaomi (I don't give a fuck they don't sell chink phones in the US, as the other anon pointed out, their market can perfectly survive without the US market), Ping an insurance. You just have to look. Chinks' economy is growing at an alarming rate and their stonks have just started growing. I'm 100% sure chinks are going to be the next america regarding both economic and military power. Am I comfortable with this idea? No, I detest the system chinks live in, and would hate to be a part of that. However, this is reality. the US is going nowhere and has been going nowhere for years. The age of anarcho-cyberpunk capitalism (chink communism) is here, and chinks will be on top of that. Now, you must ask yourself: How can I profit from this? Chinks are just getting started into kike casino games, this is a good opportunity to buy cheap shares of companies that would be extremely expensive in the US.

im surprised more people than me know about Live Traders tbhwy. his yt channel and No Nonsense Forex's yt channel are basically the foundation every TA trader needs to git gud. the 3-bar play is still good shit, you could be profitable with just looking for that one pattern at the open. also jared's twitter is great, he posts his day trade watchlists and favorites every day, all for free.

literally if you just watch all of their videos you'll learn so much. for free, too. NNFX makes a strict point that he'll never sell anything, LT sells shit but you can get everything you need from them for free, literally LITERALLY just don't buy their shit but take all of their free shit, it's not that hard. can't get conned if you don't buy anything ever.

investopedia is also legit but that should be common sense since it's the wikipedia of investing. recently gave the Dow Theory article a read, pretty interesting stuff.

China's going to get clusterfucked this decade. Demographically, financially, socially, and if it doesn't become progressive, militarily.

No, I don't have to bet on something to have an opinion on it. Tesla may well go up significantly in value before anything bad happens, but I think it is insane that a company that delivers less cars than Volvo is valued at more than BMW. They have had 3 profitable quarters in 5 years. They have very, very worrying financials despite the indisputable fact that they are years ahead in terms of battery technology, have the gigafactory which is impressive and solid software. Now I'm sure you have a strong argument for thinking otherwise but please don't say things like 'SCREENSHOTS OR SHUT THE FUCK UP', it's unbecoming and cringeworthy.

i'll stick to stocks and other things that actually have intrinsic value and where people move the price based on supply/demand, thanks. honestly i developed a system using indicators like this but for stocks, idk why i'd trade forex when you obviously are put at a distinct disadvantage because of what moves price (artificial vs. natural). sure there can be manipulation in stocks but it's mostly with penny stocks which are super cheap, it's pretty easy to avoid entirely.

The 52w high is over $2 so if nothing else at least I'll make back my money if things work out. The more I read about ONTX the more I like. China IND news pending soon, US IND on tap for Q3 2020. Patient protection out to 2037. All current drug treatments are over 10 years old and outdated plus are all "bargain binned". They got deals in place ready to roll it out once they get the green light. See the investor pages on the site for all the details. This may be a nice sleeper in hiding waiting to skyrocket.. also, just taking a quick look at the chart even on google not even ToS, and you can see that you're RIGHT at resistance. this is the kind of area where you want to be seeing whether it bounces or breaks through the $10 level, I wouldn't get in until seeing some form of confirmation one way or the other, but it's a much higher probability (and risk/reward ratio) that it will sell off from here. of course, all of this is said knowing fuck-all about the fundamentals, if there is some amazing news catalyst (or really terrible news catalyst), anything could happen.
