800k in 90 days.
Meanwhile Ethereum inflated 1.1 Million in 90 days.
So all Ethereum outside the Decentralized Finance sphere is almost in deflation.

This is a big development.

if ethereum doesn't pop off at some point i will finally accept that i am a retard who knows nothing, because this DeFi activity is exactly the sort of innovation i was waiting to see gain momentum on ethereum. i suppose ill hold to 0 regardless.

The revelation you had about DeFi is currently spreading to more market participants. I wouldn't worry about it. Are you only in ETH? I have LINK and MKR since they both seem to be crucial to DeFi. ETH seems to be the index of all applications.

I'm also a bit frustrated with Ether but I've been trying to hold onto my ethers.
Another thing is the Ether seasonality.
So far it has always seen a pump late december/early january.
So I'm going to review on the end of the month what to do.
But this DeFi milestone seems to be ruffling some feathers on cryptotwitter.

Also any idea why https://defipulse.com/ is not listing IDEX amongst the dexes?
According to Etherscan it has a further Ether in it's system.

It's ok, just sell when it's overbought. Don't be a dummy and lose your gains when we moon. That's what I'll do, I lost a lot of profit on chainlink by holding it down a dump, this time I'll maximize my profit as safely as possible.

I really believe that PoS is inherently superior to PoW.
In 13 years the bitcoin reward will be 0.78 BTC.
This plus the puny transaction fees will be the incentive to protect the network.
If crypto mining marketplaces like nicehash would become common place, you would technically be able to 51% attack the network for an entire day with less than 20 BTC.

I think all the ETH investors are right about these contracts being important but they miss the point of a blockchain and a decentralized consensus system
ETH will always trend towards centralization just due to how the it's set up
the miners have throughput controls which throws the balance of the entire system off
they will always act for profit which is to be expected but when the users don't have the right to always be able to maintain a node the system is compromised
they're never going to fix this it's part of ethereum's plan now
profits over decentralization

Why would that change? Why are they even releasing token synths is beyond me. Why would anybody genuinely own that if they can own the real crypto?
Let's say they actually release something useful, like stock tokens. Here the problem is that the collateral is dogshit. I would actually prefer something that's overcollateralized in eth and demands interest, because that's a sustainable economic model.
Instead it's 'backed' by snx. Let's say I hold amd for 2 years, generating no fees, and that amd moons 10x. All that is only backed by tiny snx liquidity.
The moment it becomes obvious the collateralization is breaking, nobody is going to buy snx, knowing dumps are imminent, which means it becomes insolvent instantly.

The team is probably going to panic and lock away people trying to sell sUSD. They can, it's fully centralized. They already manipulate fees in real time and set them to 100% to punish oracle frontrunners.

Why would anybody genuinely use this abomination?

it's goes along the lines of ted kaczynski's manifesto in that if/when systems start integrating into ethereum it'll harder and harder to break away
look at how hard it is to use crypto day to day lives even when we know fiat is a scam everyone is integrated into the fiat system
it'll be really dark days if ethereum ever becomes popular
it's a comp'd system where corporations make the rules
you would think corporations have the most to lose right now but because they make the rules they're never in danger
ETH isn't about a decentralized consensus it's about making money
they'll fork to save money in the DAO, they'll give throughput rights to the miners, they'll break contracts and backwards compatibility to keep the ship afloat
the user has no rights in this project it's a brave new world scam coin
