how interesting it is that the vast majority of people who get shit done and the world and/or become great developed their skills to cope with social rejection.
Don't want to call it destiny per se, but I believe the social system we currently have is simply the most probable path to advanced civilization. talent MUST go through hell before the person can actually 'transmute' that trauma to make themselves something better.
Nearly every great person was ostracized at one point. It had to happen this way. A species missing a social system to put it's better member through a 'furnace' would never advance.
Normies are unironically NPCs, but you, well... you can do things others wouldn't dream of.
we're ALL going to make it

People that get shit done for the world are usually born in stable, wealthy families

Most issues in the world occur because of the breakdown of the household at the fundamental level

So why did you fail to develop a talent?

While most successful people worked hard, lots of unsuccessful people work hard too, I don't think that hellish crucible is the secret. A better point to make is the thing most successful people share was the means to endure successive failures - be those social, emotional, or most importantly financial. like this >>16719205 anon says. If your business fails, you're not in debt your whole life, you social reputation isn't in ruins.
Not only that having that safety net financially makes it a hell of a lot easier to have confidence in the face of social rejection.

Unironically this. The wealthy people I know channeled their energy into highly concentrated arenas, if you will, to deal with hurt/rejection/failure or what have you.

I've become highly competent in finance, economics, and computer science as a result of getting dumped a few years ago by my gf after her parents said I wasn't a fit for her because I wouldn't be able to provide. Compound this with being a loner introvert who can barely rub two friends together. Sometimes I still wish I was "normal", but I have accepted the hand I was dealt. I now just run with it.

It's lonely at the top.

The wealthy individuals of which I speak are well into their 40s, 50s, and 60's. I'm only 27 but am in an exponentially better place financially than I was only 2 or 3 years ago. I have no doubt that my friends and I will die multimillionaires. Let me ask you something. Why are you so bitter?

Nope, talented people especially people who get things done and become great usually were already rich because of rich parents and are socially tallented and socially intelligent.

If one is socially awkward one will spend half his life just dealing with that before doing anything else

nah, not true

maybe a rich person wouldn't vocally ask the question because it might be bad form (but they might ask it anyways), but they'd definitely ask themselves

but this is an anonymous imageboard
