If I buy a coin at $100 and it goes up 10l% and then goes down 10% I lost money. If it goes down 10% and then up 10% then I still lost money. How the fuck is this fair at all.

Yes this is only a problem for bulls. Join us, most are afraid that they may lose more then -100% (initial investments) but thats just FUD u can easily place a stop loss with shorts. BTC $800 2020. LINK $1000 2020.

Here brainlet...

If you have $100 and it goes down 10%, you have $90. If it then +10% from 90, you have 99 because 10% of 90 is not 10, it's 9.

If you have $100 and it goes up 10%, you have $110. If it then goes down 10%, you have $99 because 10% of 110 isn't 10, it's 11.

Now go buy more XRP

It's fascinating how many people are allowed to invest money and don't even know basic math.

So you're saying there's a chance.

Because you are missing some terms in the equation. If it goes up 10% twice, this balances out your losses due to convexity.

E(x) = 1*.9*.9(loses 10% twice)+ 2*1.1*.9(up 10% then down 10% or vice versa) + 1*1.1*1.1 (gains 10% twice)

= .81 + 1.98 + 1.21

= 0
