The city guys spend most of their time running packages to customers, upstairs, in the rain, snow, heat, etc. the trucks are not air conditioned, it’s a hard job. Not many fat UPS drivers. The long haul guys sit in a climate controlled truck all day, with heated seats (in the union contract), and make $10 an hour more (all drivers are hourly, also in the contract).
