I haven't posted here since early 2017. I made quite a bit but missing out on becoming a millionaire when it was in the palm of my hand was too much to take so I've tried to forget about this place for a while. Whatever the reason, I'm back. Should I buy 10k of Bitcoin right now?

yeah, I think the main reason I came back is it's almost time for the halving but this time that could feasibly mean the dump to end all dumps or indeed, another bull run. Who fucking knows. I'm so torn between blowing my chance, AGAIN, and not wasting all my savings

You should look into cosmos friend. Binance became a major crypto exchange in the latter half of 2017. And just this year, you can hold a select number of crypto that will stake for you.
I own ATOM on binance. That means, i get 6% of my investment back via interest, which compounds into my investment. In fact, I get interest monthly.

I am dead serious when i think ATOM is gonna blow up soon because its basically the problem Ethereum has been trying to solve for the past 4 years. EoS is crappier version of ATOM and has 2 billion marketcap

Every blockchain has three layers: Consensus, Networking, and Application. These are meant to solve the Byzantine Generals problem (google to find out more). While bitcoin solved it compared to fiat, bitcoin is terrible for modern crypto for a variety of reasons. Ethereum comes out, and is basically the go-to coin for developing dApps which is all about the Application layer. But, Ethereum never bothered to improve Consensus or Networking Layers. Thats where Cosmos comes in. Many other coins try to fix Consensus and Networking and even improve Ethereum, but Cosmos is the best for a variety of reasons

1. Its fast and the scalabity is so good ethereum copied it
2. It works with Ethereum dApps, unlike EOS which is trying to replace ethereum
3. The developer has been developing it since 2014

Binance coin is already built around tendermint, and theres going to be many others. The biggest selling point is the fact that cosmos is not trying to replace apps that work on Application and focus mostly on consensus and networking layers.
EOS has no partnerships yet is worth 2 billion. Cosmos is everything EOS wants to be and is only worth 800 million
