Veterinary study is shit tier. Dumb worthless goys wiping the filthy arseholes of dogs are cats. Absolut cucks, not even real doctors. I will never refer to a veteranarian as a docter. They are pure low energy NPCs, every veterinarian could be shot tommoro and the world be a better place. Honestly if an animal is sick or injured just shoot it. It's usually cheaper to buy a new pet than it is to go to and vet. Terminating your pet is the more practical and humane thing to do. Imagine going to university just so you can save the life of an animal.

I work in as an Analyst at a large regional bank. Accountants from good schools are impossible to find. The company often has to pay for mouth breathers in accounts payable to go back to school so we can justify promoting them later on. We would much rather have decent people from decent schools with accounting degrees from the start. Fuck theyd hire someone out of college with an accounting degree and no prior work experience.

Out of college as a first job it isnt bad. Youd probably start at around 50k depending on the bank. Also, its rarely ever more than 40 hours a week except at the end of q3.

Still you gotta find the right place, things like trust and working at my own pace are things thatd I wouldnt sacrifice for a 5k bump in pay ya know?

Banks are starving for accountants from good schools (not community colleges)

I'm 27 y/o, have been a "software engineer" for 6 years, make $150k and don't do shit at this point. I have my own office where my desk is facing towards the door so nobody can see my screen. Spend almost all day reading manga, watching anime/youtube/etc, or shitposting on 4channel.org. Throughout the course of a typical day I probably do at most an hour of actual work.

I come from a poor Indiana family so no silver spoon, just put in enough work in school to get good grades. In the beginning straight out of college I had to prove myself, prove that I could take any problem thrown at me and write the code for it efficiently, so skills ARE needed to get to my point. Once you prove yourself, work on raising your "bus factor", make yourself so important to a particular piece of software/infrastructure that the company can't afford NOT to keep you and wouldn't dream of laying you off, and everyone at the company thinks you're some kind of computer god.

Meanwhile I know this won't last forever, I know the global macro cycle is close to its tipping point and a depression is coming. I've been living frugally and investing the extra ~$5k per month of disposable income into strategic stonks (don't fall for the index/ETF memes), precious metals, and crypto. Also saving up to make a down payment on a new real estate investment. Pretty much ready to retire anytime, but I'm a habitual overprepper so I have no problem continuing to wagekek while I wait for crypto to moon or hyperinflation to hit so PMs moon

Anything that requires a professional license in the construction industry can be really based. Architects and engineers. You can start up your own company and just work for yourself. Competition is severely limited by the license requirement and governments require licensed professionals to be involved. I perform "software engineering" i.e. shitting out CRUD apps for clients for my employer. It's pretty easy in and of itself, the hard parts are forcing your coworkers to write quality code with some rigor, forcing your coworkers to use boring languages/frameworks the team knows well, and forcing your client to tell you exactly what they want in writing.

Once you've completed two or three projects you're on autopilot mode. Everything, while different, is essentially the same.
