16565837 No.16565837 [Reply] [Original]

Has anyone heard of this coin? It's apparently the first coin to be mined on mobile phones.

>> No.16566345

>>16565837
Not exactly. Here's some clarifications:
>Pi is not mined by app users, it is a pre-mined token
>The App does consume miniscule amounts of power, approx 1-5 cents a year, depending on local prices
>though often implied, the size of the group whose member's code you use is irrelevant to your bonus (inviter gets +0,25 per invitee; invitee becomes a new inviter; repeat ad infinitum), "join the X number of us" is a misleading phrase since you will ever only be connected to one person in the group, the inviter.
That being said: Pi is an interesting project, it is "free" money since token value can not be 0.00 $ and power consumption is negligible. Halving steps for artificial scarcity are being executed faithfully so far. Thus, the sooner you get in the more you can gain. Nobody knows where Pi will go once it hits exchanges but it's as good a shot as any obscure shitcoin.
If you are interested and appreciate transparency use invite code:

It was first Phoneum than Pi.
Anyways Pi is getting more success in months than Phoneum did in years.

The reality is that you are not mining NOTHING in your phone. The developers are just giving for free that coins as an Airdrop to create a community.

The real Pi chain will launch this year 2020 with this pi "premined"/airdropped coins. Pi transfers are live and are being tested by many users around the world.

This shit will be worth more than a lot of people expect.

What's your price prediction for the first couple of months? AAcoin futures valued it at 0.15$ per token, but personally I'd assume that's too optimistic, since the supply will be so huge when we hit 10mil users. 0.02-0.05 is my guess...

>> No.16566549

>>16566414
The pi supply will be huge but you should consider those facts that will mean lost pi coins:

- Hundreds/thousands of bots that wont pass the KYC.
- People who tested pi and uninstalled app.
- People who will refuse to pass the KYC process.
-The users registered are 1,5M+. And only 50% are daily active, because most doesnt believe in the project.

Given that facts as true, a premined supply of 5k coins per active user at 10M downloads (only 4-5M active users) would be good. That would mean 20-25Billion coins.

Seeing projects with similar supply:
-Stellar (20B coins) = 0.05$
-Cardano (25B coins) = 0.03$

Between $0.05 and $0.03 would be the ACCURATE prices. Anyways not all cryptos has as many users as Pi in that case. Bitcoin is used/owned by more than 50M+ people according to many reports. Pi would be around 5M and increasing in that year that means 10% of btc users, and thats a pretty cool data that can change the prices expected.

>> No.16566611

>>16566549
That seems reasonable. Did you apply for the transfer pilot? What's your thoughts on the storefront/marketplace? I have some niche digital content I'd be happy to offer on the Pi Network once fiat exchange becomes possible. I'd imagine that there would be little supply in the first couple of weeks meeting with high demand since everybody will be eager to test out Pi and if it can function like a currency you can buy real products with.

>> No.16566657

>>16566611
The sellout of pis will be clandestine at first. No exchanges, but you can still "buy" and "sell" them because they are transferable.

Once ir hits exchange, the developers should look for partnerships.

What companies would be interested in a "digital coin" that can transfer values online used by 5M users? Online retails.
eBay, Aliexpress, Alibaba, Walmart, Zalando... Developers should focus on mid-size companies, that ones which could be interested in +5M potential customers, because big ones just fucking doesnt care until the shit is mainstream.

Goodluck with your projects and your "digital content job". Was a pleasure to read your thoughts and share mines about this stuff

you guys are fucking retarded

most people have less than 500 coins

also most wont do kyc and the real marketing push will be when the main net is launched

the reason why Pi will succeed cos people go out their way to invite people - the ref scheme is unique and it will be the fluid for the marketplace - oh and free coin xfers as nodes get rewarded for being active, not because thy "verify transactions"

many people here are still way behind and stuck with the linklet stinker memes

get real, chainlink has 80k wallets, WTF is even that after 2 years? nobody use that and only literal jews are involved

I already calculated that the average mined coins per user is much lower, 1600 if everyone is active daily.
600-800 pi / user average is more realistic

I like those numbers but where are you getting them from? Is this what the distribution will look like when we reach 5 or 10 million users or are these current numbers? When I got in a couple of months ago it was my impression that most people were in the low quarter digits... It's only logical that average Pi will decline more steeply the quicker the network grows but are there really any reliable numbers?

Only way to get a big stack is to shill like a madman. Why would you shill if you don't believe it will be worth something? Genuine question. Personally, I don't really value my time properly. I'd assume that's the case for many anons by nature.

>>16568416
No, not by a long shot.
All Pi is premined, I don't really understand the question. You could buy Pi futures on AAcoin but I wouldn't recommend it.

>>16568886
Probably. Look at the Electroneum chart. Though the market circumstances were different then.
