If LINK = moons, buyer gets LINK out of the contract as if they had a leveraged position.

What's more notable than this functionality itself is the fact that people can literally create novel financial instruments (in this case functional options contracts) at fucking hackathons. Over a single week.
Think about what this means when this industry is established and people are building novel financial instruments at the rate they currently make smartphone apps.
