absolutely do it. writing covered calls is the ONLY way to Make It (tm). I recall reading a study on writing OTM specifically on SPY, they found writing 2% otm monthlies to be one of the more significantly viable methodologies. Now, I'm sure very few anons (myself included) have the available capital to write on SPY, but that's ok because there's a lot of shit out there. In my personal opinion and experience, you want some sort of bluechip with around 10% to 25% implied volatility, writing weekly to monthly (whatever you're comfortable with), for insignificant returns. I currently write on AMD, pic related.

So, I haven't properly invested in a stock in a while since my bout with a shit ton of funds and a few shares of Amazon which I sold right before their boom, and maybe a couple way cheaper stocks before.

I took a chance and invested in MTNB, which people said looks like it will do decently well with a price target around $5.00. Now, I bought about 32 or so dollars worth and it went up decently well today, but I want to know a bit more what others are thinking of this stock.

My two cents on 2020 outlook: the election and the massive amount of U.S. debt are the two things giving me pause. I think trade war stuff is mostly priced in and all companies around the world will have adjusted to the new reality by mid-2020 at the latest. If Trump wins I the market relaxes; Sanders or Warren and the markets will tank initially. Financial Armageddon always possible but unlikely - U.S. equities and debt are still pretty much the only game in town. China is locked into buying U.S. debt as part of their strategy to manage their currency, keep the economy growing, and preventing civil unrest.

Can always be a black swan, but barring that I'm pretty bullish.
