Nothing to do with supply, it isn't a good buy because the founder of XRP and Jed McCaleb hold all the supply and they dump it on the market constantly. This will eventually stop, but maybe not for a long time. Even then, there is no REAL reason for the price to go up. The company simply has fake partnerships, when in reality they just pay the company to test XRP, say the company is using XRP and the price goes up.

Bitcoin has basically won the category of Store of value for now.

The field for utlity tokens is still undecided, except for ETH, which looks like it will be the major smart contract platform. Many here will shill you tons of shit coins and ETH killers, but the truth is there is way more developers working on ETH right now and it has first mover advantage.

The two things to research are what the product does, and the tokenomics. Also, don't fully take anyones word. Everyone is going to try to shill you something. Ultimately, research things yourself before actually hitting buy.

Ethereum will be the main platform but ether shouldn't go up in price
cheaper ether is better for using the platform
it needs some value so miners can still make a profit on it
but it's already the most profitable mining ecosystem

maybe monero with the new mining algo might overtake it
