I'm pretty skeptical. Maybe something will evolve a couple of generations in the future, but right now, it has no real use, it's tax liabilities outweigh it's utility in the markets that matter, and it's too manipulated and insecure for real money to attach to it, in any real way. Coinfags can screeetch at me all they want, but I called this last year. It was a fun rocket ride, but it's over. Crypto failed on every front it was tried on, and when an ETF filing includes admitting to the SEC that 95% of all crypto transactions are fraudulent, you have to know it's over.
Remove degenerates gambling on the line moving up or down on sites like Bitmex, and you'd see the price of crypto across the board plummet into the desert floor in flames.

So? Most people - and I mean the vast, overwhelming majority of people in the world - don't need this. Ever. And in the first world, my credit cards are verified and payment goes through instantly. I have no need to use bitcoin for ANY purchases or payments, and I don't have to record all of my credit card purchases for the IRS, which I would with any crypto. Crypto has had literally hundreds of billions of dollars moving through it, you would think that if anything would make it useful, it would be that, but no. It shows how detatched high tech culture has become from reality if the level of speculation was into the hundreds of billions, on technology that has barely moved out of the 'idea phase' and has no financially transacting userbase (real people spending money on it every day-ish). People spending enormous amounts of money on unproven things doesn't usually work out, the idea that you're going to buy some guy's stock and the guy turns out to be the next Steve Jobs and the stock is Apple's is what is drawing people in like sweet marketing nectar.
