The said futures I mentioned, I did not yet check. Also i want to point out this might not be the safest option. Let me explain.

If you can bet that in the near future like a month away the temperature will be -20 degrees. This is a very precise prediction that has a low chance of actually happening. Also the amount of snowfall or rain. It might happen or not, and we might know that we have bigger chances of actually predicting it correctly on the basis of this "theory", but still a very precise prediction.

Now, this theory that I stand behind, predict that by the weaker magnetic field produced by the sun, it will directly affect the evaporation of water on earth, and therefore the cloud formation ( Note this is well proven fact). More cloud formation, more rain, snow and so on. On the more important note, the clouds have a major cooling effect on the earth, lowering temp. .

The last maunder minimum, we had (as the Nir Shaviv also said in the linked article above) a small ice age.

And the fact is, the sun is coming into another maunder minimum.

Now my question is, what are other ways of earning money knowing this.


What stocks are more likely to go up when the earth gets colder?

What crops are likely to fail based on this, and therefore the price of it will go up?

What countries agriculture will be affected by said changes in the climate the most ?( I suspect that the countries closer to the poles)

What kind of weather futures come with the lowest risk, low cost, but a high return.
Can we average those futures? When we are wrong we will be wrong small, but when we will be right we will be right big. And since we know the general direction of the climate, we can safely assume that we should make money of this method.

New opinions welcome. WIll bump the thread every few mins or so. Currently searching for a person that made money by counting sunspots, and somehow he bet on something in agriculture, he lived a few hundred years back though.

Blaming co2 for climate change is fundamentally wrong.

There is so much more proof based on suns activity. In medival england someone noticed that wheat prices are somewhat higher every 10 years. When the electromagnetic field of the sun is stronger, there was a higher chance of droughts. Which influenced the price of wheat.

And then, we have the little ice age. Sun was in maunder minimum, with no sunspots over longer periods of time.

Co2 follows temperature through something thats called carbon cycle.
