I'm looking at news for AMRN insider trading, it looks like only three of their executives have exercised options in the past three months, all before the Nov 14 meeting too. Guy named John F Thero buy some options on the 11th of November. Doesn't say what they were, but I assume calls.
Other than that, there was a some trading activity in July then erratically throughout the year.
It appears that many of them are holding a ton of shares too, which is expected.

Is this a good sign that there's hardly any trading going on? Looks like they were betting on their company passing the advisory committee.

AMRN will be like this, moving up, moving down, till the FDA meeting on Dec 28th. There's only two things that can move it up and that's when the FDA gives it the Green light or the Holy Buyout news happens. A thing to note. The FDA does not have to wait till 12/28 to render a verdict. With all the testimony given they could speed up that process. Also the Holy Buyout could happen at any time now. However once the FDA green lights it, even if a Buyout does not happen, watch the stock fly and keep flying. Why? Profit pure and simple. Watch as people storm the doctors offices as soon as the Green light is given. So keep your shares and wait. The Good times is just starting.

Also it does not mater what the label is the FDA gives AMRN. At the very least your looking at $60 per (30 x 2) when the Holy Buyout happens. If the label is broader, hey all the better, but even if it isn't your still looking at $60 per. This will not be another Lipotor either (waiting a year before being bought), no Big Pharma knows what AMRN can do, they know the projected Profits, even with a skimpy label the Profits is still very high, so they won't wait to strike. Let's play devils advocate. Assume AMRN stock hits 21 and stays roughly the same all through out Nov/Dec. Ok. Witness what happened during the Adcom. Stock went from 16.xx to 24.xx. $8 some odd increase. What do you thinks gonna happen on Dec 28th? It's gonna fly that's what. What's gonna happen after Dec 28th? Profit flowing in like mad and the Holy Buyout. So at least your looking at $30 per with the Holy Buyout delivering double that (60). Even if the Buyout don't happen, still Profit is gonna be flowing in like mad and the stock price will be steady climbing higher.

Stolen from yahoo.

The Oppenheimer pieces' basic thesis is that competition over the next year from other Omega3 trials will devalue Amarin as take-over target and the profitability of the business. Acasti is mentioned. Here is all one needs to know about Acasti's drug "CaPre is a krill oil derived mixture containing polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), primarily composed of omega-3 fatty acids, principally eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). EPA and DHA are well known to be beneficial for human health, and may promote healthy heart, brain and visual function1, and may contribute to reducing inflammation, and blood triglycerides." Just as EPANOVA's product is a mix of DHA and EPA, so is CaPre. The science seems to be saying that pure EPA is where the CV reduction benefit is to be found, not DHA/EPA mixtures. I think this was more likely a hit piece to help clients cover their shorts as there is no science behind Mr. Lehman's (Oppenheimer) piece.

I think some young investors at a big firm got stuck in a bear trap and need some help.

There are 50M+ shares short. How did they plan to cover? First avenue they were banking on were the ADCOM briefing docs, hoping that there was enough in there to bash away and get the PS lower so they could cover. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. Next plan was that the ADCOM vote would give them what they wanted, an opportunity to bash and lower the price. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. So now we are left with these games they will play to achieve what they could not in the above 2 incidents.

This is just how it works. Notice though that the Big time fat cats (Baker Bros, etc) is still holding strong with the AMRN shares. Now why would these Fat Cats still be in the game if there was no more Profit to be had? Hmm, Profit is king, if there was no more Profit to be had they'd sold right after the Adcom pushed the stock to 24. But they're still holding. Cause there is more Profit lurking. This is just a ploy to scare people to sell so the Fat Cats can buy more cheap. So hold those shares and enjoy the ride, you'll be glad when AMRN get's bought for 60 a pop.

However if i keep screwing up on the stock market i may just have to stop entirely and leave until a market crash has been going on for AT LEAST several months, i already lost a lot. Now when i finally decide to do put credit spreads instead of buy puts, cause the market ignores clear indicators, it looks like the market might crash, really tired of this horrid timing. I just want to make my money back and get the heck off of robinhood cause their app sucks and wait for the market crash to buy cheapies and just hold long term vs my attempts now where almost every stock i buy ends up going down whiles others just keep going up.
