If we break below $8,000, we lose the bullish uptrend into the halving year for the first time in Bitcoin's existence

Except that the halving happens in like December of 2020 so we're still a long way away retard.

>> No.16301439

When will biz collectively realize that:

1) just because something happened 2 times in the past, doesn't mean it will happen in the future (halving price rise)
2) LTC halved and absolutely no price action
3) the macro environment for BTC has totally changed, it's not longer modeled as a private currency commodity, it's now a manipulated asset, and the price will behave opposite to what the majority believes. every twitter fag and their mom is "BTC 4ever buy the dip," do you actually think these morons are going to be making money? they are the primary source giving their money away to advanced traders.

1. what is supply and demand
2. litecoin did a 2x in the months leading up to its halving
3. labels don't matter. counterpleb sentiment is your strongest argument but it still runs afoul of 1.

where's the demand? you realize that trillions of USD need to flow into crypto for the price to go to $100,000? where's that money going to come from? and don't say that it's from institutional lenders and corporate loans that need to put their money into volatile markets because there's nothing else to do with it. that's bullshit.

Demand has fucking dropped through the floor, there's barely any liquidity

Are you trying to convince yourself because you are hoping your crypto bags will pull you out of poverty? Come on man, be realistic for a second and actually consider what it would take to get btc to 100k like all the moonboys keep salivating over

>1. what is supply and demand
The only "demand" for BTC now is for investing/trading, and the demand is only there when price is going up. If price continues to dick around as it has for the last four months, nobody is going to care that the block reward is about to be cut in half.

>2. litecoin did a 2x in the months leading up to its halving
And has dumped ever since. By about... half. It went up, as always, because BTC was going up, and came back down, as always, because BTC came back down.

> 3. labels don't matter. counterpleb sentiment is your strongest argument but it still runs afoul of 1.

bla bla bla. >>16301439 is right. The game is literally nothing like it was during previous halvings. Most importantly, there are now derivatives and the ability to short.

Considering banks are already limping along, propped up by repos, I doubt a bank would even come close to thinking about proposing a purchase of any cryptocurrency. people in China save their money in gold. China will use gold like every other country. US states are moving to allow people to use minted US coinage as legal tender for taxes. Banks want gold, not unbacked securities like bitcoin.
