When will biz collectively realize that:

1) just because something happened 2 times in the past, doesn't mean it will happen in the future (halving price rise)
2) LTC halved and absolutely no price action
3) the macro environment for BTC has totally changed, it's not longer modeled as a private currency commodity, it's now a manipulated asset, and the price will behave opposite to what the majority believes. every twitter fag and their mom is "BTC 4ever buy the dip," do you actually think these morons are going to be making money? they are the primary source giving their money away to advanced traders.

The only "demand" for BTC now is for investing/trading, and the demand is only there when price is going up. If price continues to dick around as it has for the last four months, nobody is going to care that the block reward is about to be cut in half.

Considering banks are already limping along, propped up by repos, I doubt a bank would even come close to thinking about proposing a purchase of any cryptocurrency. people in China save their money in gold. China will use gold like every other country. US states are moving to allow people to use minted US coinage as legal tender for taxes. Banks want gold, not unbacked securities like bitcoin.
