We have no idea how much 1 holo fuel will be worth once the thing is live. The team has no idea as well. They just sold a bunch of ERC-20 token for funding and will make a way to redeem some credit once it's live.

This is PURE speculation. The supply will be DYNAMIC. Current supply doesn't mean shit. I do think it's good they made it as high as possible though.
Plans are to make the fuel redeemable via centralized reserves for cash. This is fine aswell.

But the economics for this project are way to fucking wild for anyone to predict what will happen. It's also meant to become stable in value.

A market will form between hosts and those who want to be hosted. Both will decide the price.
They also plan to make holofuel tradeable for other crypto. And then there will be the reserves that may or may not trade your holo for the market price.
It's not meant to be a digital currency like we normally think of it. It's a kind of currency backed by hosting power. With holofuel credits, you will be able to buy hosting power, but you will also be able to trade the credits on the market. It gets more complicated when you start thinking that credits can come and go, the supply is dynamic. I can't make a prediction. It's too wild.

In short, you can see right now how much the ERC-20 token is worth. But I can't tell you how much the value will transfer to the actual network.

The team said the were putting themselves in debt by with the ICO. All of the credits existing have a counterpart. (The actual balance of holo credit is always 0). This means when it's live, you should be able to cash out your holo via the reserve and the team should be the one paying.

this is confusing. so you are saying they get to decide the price, and can change the supply to make it higher. On VECHAIN they tried to 10x the supply to increase the price, and it didn't work, it just dumped back to where it was due to natural market forces.
