They meant that BTC was too slow and being hoarded, like gold so they came up with silver.

That's like saying the gold industry vs oil industry is the next power struggle
They provide value in different ways and both will thrive with each existing. ETH can't scale to handle BTC's use cases

That's just one metric and isn't the best indicator of price. BSV heads tell me the same thing.

BTC buyers hold it like gold, ETH buyers use it like gas

Most of those TX are spam and you better be rich to spam BTC.

I have ETH wallets full of junk I never asked for. Those are all ETH TX from shitcoiners and pajeets sending me free crypto. Do you know how many eth TX i've sent just for games?
I was spending ETH while doing it and those companies spent the eth to pay the bills.

The foundation of our argument is supply vs demand.

>Btw money typically has infinite supply, yes. Can you name one that doesn’t?
gold, silver, the earlier forms of money before central banks won.

Using your money is better than storing it? Is that your point?

The market doesn't care, it's greedy and will spend the common assets and save the rare ones.
>>16266783
>ETH can't scale to handle BTC's use cases
ETH has to remain cheaper and faster to handle defi, dapps, games, airdrops, etc.

BTC's use cases are mostly storing wealth.
Will wealthy use ETH as an offshore bank account? Will other countries trust ETH with their savings during hyperinflation? Does ETH have the history of uptime and security BTC has? If bonds go negative will bankers and funds buy mostly ETH and not BTC with that $?

You act like TX fees and volume are all that matter. They only matter a lot to crypto spenders and traders.

I care about price and factor TX stats in but would never act like they move price. Look at NANO and NEO, aren't they free to send? Where's price though?

>> No.16266897

It's stupid to act like ETH is money when it's dapp money only. No one buys anything with ETH except smart contracts andcryptos

I think supply vs demand is valid but extremely vague. Demand is due to utility. Function.

My point with supply is that as supply increases the relative issuance rate goes down. They are rewarding miners for securing the network and the supply increase is required to keep network secure (look at bitcoin) the reward is 50x higher than daily transaction cost collected .

>W ill wealthy use ETH as an offshore bank account?
Probably not but they will most likely use a stable coin that utilizes smart contracts

I don’t think volume and fees are more important, I think adoption is most important and if you look at strictly utility, eth is more useful

To you or dapp programmers, ETH is more useful.

Some people will never be able to buy stocks on their salary.
Some countries bailout bankers more often than us.
Some people read about the DAO hack and never trust ETH again and BTC's security and history are most important for usage.

I'm putting important money into crypto, most of it has to go to BTC out of safety reasons.

Some of you go 100% in your coin when it's a low cap. I admire the bravery but I saw shitcoins taking BTC bear season worse. Seemed obvious to me at the time
