Yeah, honestly my take is that this is either a digital prison (in which case we're almost certainly just a byproduct of the rules and something far worse inhabits this space) or a divine punishment of some kind. If this was really the best of all possible worlds, the basic fabric of the axis of existence and non-existence fucking blows and God sucks at his job.

Yeah ironically by the time most people get settled their reasons to live have melted away. Inventing new reasons to live is how a lot of people I know are spending their 30s. I imagine the ones who are successful are the ones who'll age gracefully, while the others spend the back half of their lives bitter or acting out.

By the time you're 60, especially if you've sat in a computer chair through your youth, you're practically begging for death. Everything you see will trigger you, because it will all be younger people doing something better than you ever could've.

Well they’re old, and roastie wives can’t make up for the love given to you when you could give nothing in return.
Sure the thrills can get better as you get older if you make the most of every moment before, but they just mask the original losses.
