Yes. This is why we shill it to /biz/. You CAN make profits from investing in physical PM's but it's hard. Might as well invest in the mining companies if this is what you want.

But if you're looking to retain your buying power from today then PM's are the way to go. Fuck savings accounts that the ((Banks)) offer you.

>> No.16196530

It’s not hard to make money from PM though. Honestly just buy low sell high. It’s way harder to make money off the stock market. Just look at all the brain dead losers on robin hood losing thousands because they suck at even longing a stock. Me myself, I’m stacking gold and silver bullion and some semi Numismatic coins like pre-2010 slabbed silver pandas to make even more gains in the future.

Commodities are the most uncertain thing to invest into long-time.

I have 1000$ in etoro that I play with and I made 60$ yesterday in 8 trades on gold.

Gold and Oil are great to hold onto for 30 minutes or 1 hour since the price is greatly fluctuating and you can do a 20x leverage. But in the long term it is extremely uncertain.

There are tons of gold and silver deposits around the world that are waiting to get mined but can't because of environmental policies. As soon as someone figures out how to mine it without polluting or as soon as the policies get lifted, price will drop.

Gold and Silver for one, can not rise in price unless manipulated, it can only fall.

Oil could rise in price, but you never know.

Guess what retard - when you deposit your money into a bank, you surrender legal ownership of it and it is legally recognised as an asset of the bank. The bank then uses YOUR MONEY to loan out to other stupid goyim to repay them back with interest, fucking over you and everyone else. In a crisis scenario the chances of them letting you have this money back is zero. Congrats on being a dumb goyim bankslave.

>> No.16198213

The only reason you should buy Silver is because you anticipate general price inflation like the 1970s.

Look to the 2009-2011 bull market for lessons: the general price inflation didn't eventuate and silver and gold were in a bear market for the best part of this decade.

General price inflation is not strictly correlated in time with the act of monetary expansion. The 1970s stagflation only occurred because the Arab countries literally blockaded oil from reaching the USA, which in turn unleashed massive general price inflation.

As we've seen since 2009, monetary expansion just means asset price inflation (housing, equities) and general prices for industrial goods goes down due to a supply chain that originates in Asia and cheap labour from the 3rd world flooding 1st world countries.

the reason to buy silver is because the price is at $15 like it has been for over a century and I can buy 50-100 ounces of silver a week as opposed to 0.5 ounces of silver historically

>>16198183
>they have absolutely no obligation to make good on this liability
no they have an obligation it's just possible they can't because they have too many obligations. that is why your money is insured to a certain amount by some authority organization or state agency.

but yeah it's not your money if the bank holds it and debts sometimes go unpaid. i have no argument there. which is why i find crypto and real estate a much better store of my personal wealth. metals are stupid imo but same principle. i don't believe the demand for metals is anywhere near as durable as real estates.

That's objectively false though. See pic relation, inflation adjusted silver price.

>I can buy 50-100 ounces of silver a week as opposed to 0.5 ounces of silver historically

So your disposable income is higher than that in the past? I don't understand your point here.

My point is that silver and gold are speculative assets to hold during times of inflationary pressures. You can jump up and down about MUH OUNCES all you like, but the point of holding such an asset is to gain wealth relative to other assets/currencies.

Gold and Silver fluctuate just the same as Copper or Steel, but the reasons behind them fluctuating is different.
