Hi bizbros. I made a good amount of money in 2017 off ETH. I than you all for allowing me to invest early in ETH.

I made roughly $5MM. I quit my job. I diversified into stocks and real estate and I bought a small business which runs itself (turnkey they call it).

The first year, I kept working and I waited until all my stock market gains were long term to quit and start cashing out. I'm making around $150k a year right now with all of my passive income streams. I know some of you probably think 3% is bad but there are costs with the real estate & stock portfolio I didn't anticipate. I suppose if I ran them myself I'd make closer to 4-5% but I do nothing as they are all managed. FWIW the stocks do a lot better than the real estate but the real estate feels more comfy.

Anyway, $150k/year for doing nothing. If you would have told me I'd be here in early 2017 I would have jizzed myself with excitement. Yet I now realize I have $5MM in assets and I'm basically as poor as I was beforehand making $130k waging. Not waging is great, but I still can't afford to do all the things that I want.

I've realized doubling this amount will get me to a very comfy place where I can do everything I want and continue to build wealth on top of that. So shill me some shitcoins, because I am back. I have ~$350k I am willing to move into some moon shots.

Unironicly chainlink, check into the token economics. Pay someone who runs a node for you and you get more then you’re meager 3%

Honestly if i were you i would start a small time crypto managing fund. Get some investors charge hefty fees.

Wait youre only getting 3%? Are you saying that your passive income streams total around 3% of the principle or is that total appreciation? If its just your cashflow, thats not terrible, but youd be way better off putting your money into an index fund or REIT if its the total appreciation.

I made 5m in crypto too ETH mainly but I never left the market, still got plus more. What small business did you buy.
Buy ETH again the fud here is a tell tale sign to do just that. The crowd is never right, everyone says it’s dead. Do the opposite.
50/50 ETH LINK then when ETH pair pumps sell for Link.
I’m a whale I know what I’m talking about but go ahead take advice from absolute street shitters with 50k portfolios, or worse fucking pathetic nulinker or linker faggots who have seen link for 2 years yet don’t even have 100k.

Will look into these, thanks. I remember chainlink from 2017 I think, didn’t pay much mind to it then because I was in a euphoric state about ETH.

I don’t think this would be legally simple so probably not worth the time/money

3% is my passive income stream. Appreciation has been much higher over the last year for all investments which is nice but again I can’t sell any of it without killing the passive income I am living off of

>>16184631
I have kept in touch with other ETH communities and there are mixed feelings about the trajectory. There are a lot of good blockchain projects in development and ETH has reached a number of obstacles they’re having difficulty overcoming. I have a soft spot and maybe will pick some up, I guess at least 32, but I don’t know if that’s going to be my meal ticket.

ETH is the only crypto that is remotely decentralized among the smart contract platform. It will scale 20x next year enough to do everything then 100x in 3 years. Good job falling for the eth hater missed out so hate eth fud. It’s going to surprise everyone.

There is no cure for the kinds of you. You will never be content with what you have. Start donating your fucking money, not even kidding. You would get more happy and make lots more people happy, win-win situation. I'm fucking dead serious. Giving is the greatest joy of the world.

I hadn't thought about this, I guess my main hesitation would be if the real estate market crashes I'd probably be downright fucked. Loans are scary to me in general while everyone is predicting the economy is going to plunge any moment.

I understand your concern given that our last recession was caused in part due to the housing market collapsing, but that was relatively irregular. Unless another case of widespread securities fraud causes the next recession, a conservative emergency fund is usually enough to weather the storm. It just means you need to allocate more of your portfolio towards safe things like bonds that you can liquidate to cover the loans if the shit hits the fan. I too have an aversion to debt, but it sounds like your assets could currently cover the full cost of a number of units so as long as your portfolio is properly diversified lending is just a way to not lose out on the opportunity cost of buying property. You can usually make more than you lose due to interest through appreciation and cashflow, so its just making your money work more efficiently. Dont take some random anon's word for it though, I'd recommend reading up on it.
