has anyone seen this yet? it's a 30 min talk from ari juels that got uploaded 2 weeks ago talking about decentralised exchanges/flash boys 2.0. don't think this has been posted on here yet otherwise it would probably have more views and more autist comments.

Just watched it last night and saw him present this live at the ic3 retreat earlier this year. Ari is the man. Chainlink + mixicles + Deco solves these issues.

dam sun, we'red you find this?

Tax his land, Tax his bed, Tax the table At which he’s fed.
Tax his tractor, Tax his mule, Teach him taxes Are the rule.
Tax his work, Tax his pay, He works for peanuts Anyway!
Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat.
Tax his ties, Tax his shirt, Tax his work, Tax his dirt.
Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink, Tax him if he tries to think.
Tax his cigars, Tax his beers, If he cries, then tax his tears.
Tax his car, Tax his gas, Find other ways To tax his ***.
Tax all he has Then let him know, That you won’t be done till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers Then tax him more,
Tax him till he’s good and sore.
Then tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax the sod in Which he’s laid.
Put these words Upon his tomb, ‘Taxes drove me to my doom.. . ‘
When he’s gone, Do not relax, Its time to apply The inheritance tax.

Think of it like this:
Ari understands how massive blockchain will become. What he is researches and publishes will become what is taught. Ari wouldn't risk losing his future value for a quick cash grab.
We are so early.
Pic related: not only was fundamental flaw discovered in this punch card deck, but also a fundamental flaw in the computer that reads it. That is how early we are.

It is a frame of scale.
Look up pic related, it represents what Ari wrote about; a fatal flaw in the program & the computer that ran it. Ari pointed out that holes (bots bidding for lucrative takes) were in the wrong spot and the computer (miners) was the one doing it.

Summary for lazy anons.

Ari starts out giving examples of "anons" fat fingering dex orders and getting rekt by bots. He reads some forum posts of people begging for their money back after paying way too much for a trade. He then goes into detail on how bots can basically sniff out these types of orders and will try and use high gas prices to try and ensure they can be a taker for the order before the human trader can submit a cancel order.

He then briefly mentions that if this is the type of things that are happening on dexes then centralized exchanges surely have even more shady things going on.

Wasn't that interesting of a talk desu. Or rather just not my cup of tea. He didn't go into any detail about Chainlink or oracles or the future of blockchain.
