I've never taken an Econ class so why might this be a bad thing:

>Current economy is inefficient and has increasing wealth inequality that takes a toll on the lower class
>Solution?
>Everyone gets rid of their egos via Buddhism
>It leads to everyone not buying material things they don't need, just things for their utility.
>As a result, everyone needs less money.
>Wages drop to standard living wage.
>Owners of companies need less profit, so they decrease prices.
>This has a snowball effect that leads to the cost of living to decrease over time and leads to a nearly efficient economy.

Nice pipe dream, but it's a know fact that greed always prevails.

>Current economy is inefficient
What makes you think it's inefficient?

>> No.15961900

What makes you think wealth inequality is bad? Somalia and Zimbabwe have some of the highest wealth equality on the planet. Switzerland and Singapore have some of the highest wealth inequality.

You big retard.

No they don’t you retard. It’s literally the opposite. Switzerland has a HUGE middle class (ie high wealth equality)

t. Dual citizen us/Swiss. Also a conservative who loves the US... so this isn’t coming from a biased position. Just stating facts

>> No.15961938

FOMO and not in the financial/investment sense of the word. There's just too much shit to do (which requires money) to not do anything.

I live here you literal retard. Yet that still has no bearing on the facts. Switzerland being an incredible tax haven for international corporations has lead to a massive "lower class" with comparatively upper middle class living standards, and an uber rich upper class hanging out in places like Davos.

The average product is marked up too much based on product's actual value. I realized this when I shopped at the dollar store how products dont have to be as expensive as we think.

That's why my goal is to spread Buddhism to the west as much as possible. (Not the main reason, I want everyone to reduce their egos and suffering, but I realized this economic phenomenon might be a byproduct)

This will cause the next 29 crash, but this without survivors.

The modern economy is based on consumism. You can't just stop buying stuff

The product's actual value? What value is that, the raw materials?

Add shipping, marketing, sales, interest payments on the company's debt, legal fees for bullshit lawsuits and government hoop jumping, HR, rent, and money set aside to expand the factory or repair existing equipment and you'll see, at the end of the day, just what kind of inefficiency is in the economy.

Oh I get it. You think "lower class" means poor. You retarded poor kid. A country of 100 people with 99 being millionaires and 1 being a billionaire would have the highest inequality in the world. But it'd also be the wealthiest per capita. A country of 100 people with 1 dollar each to their name would be the most equal in the world. And the poorest per capita.

Anyway if you still don't get it then enjoy being poor for the rest of your life.

This guy is also a retard. Look at the company's profit margins. Luxury brands with luxury goods have luxury profit margins, but companies like Wal Mart make 0.03 cents on the dollar.

You retards, go divide a public company's annual revenue by profit. See what you get.

It is a bad thing, and not just because Buddhism's the epitome of pointlessness.
The problem at the moment isn't too much demand, it's too little.

Marketing for buying shit you don't need.
I'm not targeting the "need" sector but the "want" sector to be greatly diminished.

We've changed a lot in the past few decades but still operating under antiquated religions with belief in "soul."
Anyone who studies the brain sees that Secular Buddhism is a viable alternative to religion.

The absolute difficulty of being poor. It sucks away at your soul.
