what's up with Americans and drip coffee?
It's objectively the shittiest way to make it. All the tannin get's leeched out of the grounds, and having a big pot of coffee sitting on a hotplate evaporates away all the oils and volatiles and shit.

coffee is jewish
It deplets serotonine everytime you drin coffee you have less chances to product serotonine because coffee is an obstacle to serotonin production
It's a great stimulant.. but do not tache too much coffee. it will higher your chances of feeling a shit because it increases cortisolo (stess ormone)
With too much cortisol you get older before you will have less testo (cortisolo depletes testosterone)
In addiction caffeine inihbite serotonine

Caffeine boost a little bit dopamine tought

Caffeine has an half life of 6 hours so if you drich a coffe at 18:00 don't pretendto sleep unless it isnt't 1:00 urhzeit

Tache a lil bit of coffee in the morning and it's enough to have the boost without anxiety

Pro-tip: Use L-teanine or aswagahndah with coffee and you won't have the coffe side effects (100mg caffeine - 300mg aswaghanda)

All of this is wrong.
Caffeine has nothing to do with serotonin, and its only negative effect regarding dopamine is that if you drink way too much coffee, you release less dopamine in response to coffee.

>> No.15943518

Coffee is the root cause of the downfall of Western civilization. God-fearing Catholics and hard-working Puritans walk into a coffee house and immediately start distributing atheistic manuscripts. They started stock speculation, they wrote treatises in favour of republicanism...

All the world's ills stem from the 'Enlightenment' and the Enlightenment stemmed from coffee. The hoipolloi were supposed to be drunk all day. We had everything under control. But then Satan's bile energized, liberalized and capitalized them. The world is irreparably damned thanks to a fucking drink.

First off dopamine it's never associated with ''negative effects''
Everytime your brain realeses dopamine you feel yourself motivated hungry for pleasure for sex less apatic and strong

Caffeine boosts (obv not the same way as cocaine) dopamine that's why when you have a cup of coffee in da morning you feel great and you feel great focus. It's adenosine and dopamine boost

Coffee has to do with serotonine: it is an obstacle to serotonine production.
Without serotonine you feel anxiety
Add also the noradreline production with coffee and the cortisolo... and if you drinch too much you'll feel a nervy faggot

Avoid coffee...drin it only at small doses in the morning

https://ineedcoffee.com/your-brain-on-coffee-how-caffeine-affects-brain-chemistry/

The Feel-Good Effect of Caffeine
But what’s so wrong with enjoying a few cups of coffee to perk up your mood and make it through the rest of the day in one piece? Caffeine can immediately improve the mood by stimulating dopamine, although it depletes serotonin over time, which will ultimately cause you to feel worse.

And the depletion of serotonin is no laughing matter. Serotonin is critical to regulating a number of bodily functions, including sleep cycles, pain control, carbohydrate cravings, and digestion. Low levels of serotonin have also been associated with depressed immune function.

>> No.15943558

Caffeine impacts brain chemistry because it binds to proteins called adenosine receptors. Just like they sound, these receptors help to detect adenosine in the brain and can induce drowsiness. When caffeine binds to these receptors, it hinders brain cells from sensing adenosine to provide an immediate jolt and eliminate drowsiness temporarily.

>Coffee has to do with serotonine: it is an obstacle to serotonine production.
That's almost never how it works.

See:
Chronic caffeine intake also increases the sensitivity of serotonin receptors. In other words, receptors specific to serotonin are more responsive to serotonin present in the synaptic cleft — it’s sort of like installing a bigger satellite dish to catch more of an existing signal. One study showed a decrease in serotonin release, but an increase in serotonin reuptake, leading to an overall increase in serotonin levels. (Think of it as the brain’s natural recycling.)
https://www.precisionnutrition.com/coffee-and-hormones

There's a reason the scientific world is all over the place: they don't really know themselves.
Suffice it to say that coffee affects mood, and that the healthy body will adjust so long as you don't overdo it..

I was drinking 5 to 7 cups a day for 2 years. Eventually causing severe anxiety attacks & I had to be put on an SSRI to cope for the decrease in serotonin production for a while.

After I cut coffee out I had some of the worst withdrawal symptoms. Depression and Anxiety skyrocketed. I was nauseous, couldn't sleep, couldn't eat.

Over a month now & I am sleeping better, waking up refreshed (no longer groggy), and my anxiety is starting to decrease.

People desperately want to belong to something. To have something that can serve as a bonding point with other people. Being social in this way is coded deep in our DNA.
So it shouldn’t be a surprise when that is expressed in stupid ways like whether or not we drink coffee, or what brand we drink, or the extent to which we are devoted to drinking it. That is just our DNA grabbing anything it can as we have been convinced not to bond over traditional things like blood and soil.

Whatever productivity I lost from the caffeinated energy is made up for in slow, mindful focus. Things that would piss me off at work before no longer faze me in the slightest. It's easy, that's pretty much it. And cheap. You can get a basic drip pot for $20. Most people didn't know what coffee was supposed to taste like, before Starbucks became a thing. Most people drank instant coffee, which is really just coffee flavored caffeine crystals.

The bizarre thing is, Americans knew how to make good coffee in the past. The best grind is a burr grinder - which was standard until cheap blade grinders came onto the market. Percolators made good coffee, but were expensive, and replaced with the $20 Black And Decker shit like you have a picture of. And the most hilarious thing is, those pots are replaced with Keurigs, and that's really shit coffee, because it just doesn't get hot enough.

My setup is a little pricey, but makes a good cup - Bodun burr grinder, and a Zojirushi maker with a metal carafe, and no hotplate. Here's a little secret for you - to get a UL listing in the US, they have to keep power down, and when you split the power between the heater for the water, and the hot plate, it doesn't get hot enough for the brew. The Zojirushi doesn't have a hotplate, the carafe keeps it hot for hours, and all the power goes to the water heater.

Factually wrong, every second you go through withdrawal, your tolerance decreases. So by the time you have had your daily cup, you are able to get a buzz from the same amount of coffee.
