eBay general:

>Go to main supplier's warehouse.
>Private sale.
>Bid on some Samshit Galaxy S6's, and S7's.
>Probably no more than $2000 worth of phones with broken screens.
>Some retard bids $10,000+ on the S7's.

WHAT THE FUCK why would you even DO THAT?

He's going to ship you back a pallet of empty boxes, and PayPal will side with him, because "why would a Bolivian steal $10000 worth of phones from a stranger on the internet?"

>> No.1586911

because he's selling the same items as you and doesn't want to compete with your sale, so he propped yours up to a ludicrous price until he gets rid of his own. then he'll cancel the bid/sale, or just abandon the account all together.

This happens, I often sell broken graphics cards, but you still get more than 100 € for a completely burnt 780Ti without cooler.

Some people may think they can fix it. Phones can actually often be fixed, but its not worth it when the screens are broken, a new screen will usually cost more than a new phone.

This was a warehouse auction that I was bidding on, not something I sold.

Not eBay. Not paying for auction = banned from warehouse.

I run an eCommerce business selling on eBay.

I was talking about my main supplier, it wasn't an eBay transaction.

how the shit did you guys read OP's post so wrong lol

i've done a handful of auctions in my time, not my cup of tea for inventory, but I've never seen things like this. I always hear stories about it but any time I've gone I tend to do pretty good, not great due to competition, but always come out ahead

He won't pay. They will be back for auction next week and he will try get them for cheaper. Also if he has a lot of stock this stops someone else flooding the market and competing with him in his local area.

a few years back i knew the manager of a outside thrift store. he let me check out the warehouse, where i found 1000+ newly sealed bike jerseys. there were 4 other people with me , so i got around 200 of them. i got charged 30$ and ending up selling all of them for 1200$.

maybe the guy overestimated what was in there, or he is just trying to drown out the smaller guys.
