I'm a freelancer 3D artist, I made some money working on the field and all but I didn't see a reason to look for a degree for it.
I'm thinking about buying one from China tho, what do /biz/ think?
I don't want to pay for some retarded college to learn something that I already know.

As an artist if you have a decent portfolio you don't need a degree in any form. Sometimes jobs claim they want you to have one but experience and skill will outweigh it completely. If you're already making money in the field you should know that people don't actually give a shit about degrees as long as you can show your skills.

What software do you use op? I used to fuck around with blender and c4d but nothing much beyond tutorials. Digital tutors used to be awesome. Now it seems to be about matte painting etc. I loved Ben Watts and his turbulence fd tutorials.

Anyways tldr fuck degrees. If you can do it and prove it you will find work

Dont get a degree, that's useless boomer shit. Can you do motion graphics? That's easier to get a job with, because you can work for an ad agency or on a video team at a big company. I'd suggest going down that path.
