His mother was golfing in the country club with some friend of hers who was working for IBM. He mentioned that his company is looking for a OS, she said well my son is into computers I'll ask him.
He knows a guy who had made an OS, known as DOS. He buys DOS for 50k from that guy, put MS before DOS and now his greatest achievement is made: He's not selling the OS to IBM, he proposed a partnership and ask for 2$ per sold PC.
After this he "created" Windows, but the graphical OS wasn't his idea, ask his former colleague and business associates.
