Oldfag here. I had several thousand btc I mined then. A couple of things you youngins need to understand:

1) Most of us didn't take this shit seriously, so many (like me) lost all of their BTC doing dumb shit like throwing away hard drives or losing private keys

2) All the software was buggy as fuck, and it was way less simple to transfer btc, plenty of people lost btc from bugs and software issues

3) Buying btc was not that easy. There weren't exchanges, you had to trust randoms and again the software was way underdeveloped.

The guys who had thousands and held onto them were fucking lunatics. They kept their shit ultra safe and they really believed BTC would be the currency of the future. 10 years later we're not much closer to their vision now than we were then, but I bet one many were worth millions they wised up and realized they should cash the fuck out.

Buy LINK. It's unironically your last chance in crypto.

Anon that was a sane decision, why do you think that the vast majority of people who got rich from Bitcoin back then were only people who forgot they had it in the first place?
It was borderline Internet virtual monopoly money, no remotely rational calculation could have predicted even a quarter of these prices and for them to stay at this level.
