Who here is trading options and profiting?

How did you learn?

How much are you earning?

Thanks

>> No.15786012

>How did you learn.
The boring way. I read about the basics, became familiar with the terms and watched videos explaining options. After I was "confident" I bought options on a paper account. First call went to shit but after I made profit off the next 3 calls I started trading for real.

>How much are you earning?
On average about $1000 per month. I'm not obsessed with options but if I'm confident a company will be on a bull run in the short term I'll buy 1 or 2 calls. 3 out of 5 calls make me money. I quickly cut my losses on my losers. 75% of my profits go back into my core ETF's.

I'm very much a set it and forget it investor; buy and hold is my bread and butter strategy, but I do think at least learning about the different types of options would be beneficial to most.

>if markets are up, buy calls at 2:55pm to buy calls expiring two fridays from current day

Markets are designed to go up. All you need is SPY, QQQ, and a couple hundred bucks. I average $100 a day just by doing this strategy. Keep in mind this is an AVERAGE. I do not make $100 everyday.

Forgot to add when to sell.
Just use the charts and sell at resistance. Wait for next dip and buy ITM calls.

Always have a place where you feel like you'll never recover. For instance, If I'm in 295 calls and spy touches or goes below 294, I'll either take the loss or try to day trade out of it. I rarely hold a losing trade overnight.

I've been "unemployed" for years.
I actually just got a job but that's only so i can really start putting money back and I don't have to live off of trading funds. The real money is in selling options, so I'm trying to reach that $50k account size so I can sell credit spreads for easy cash

Yup I plan on working (factoring a recession into the mix) for 10 more years.

Options are a nice addition to my income BUT I would never want to rely on them to get by.

Congrats anon. Recently became a neet after quitting my job cause I hated it. Hated the job before that one too but it was more bearable cause it was less than a 25 minute drive but my supervisor was an unbearable woman that had me as a go to guy and gave me a mediocre performance review that likely affects getting other positions within the organization and was always asking for updates even when I proved that I can do a better job than her.

>>15786139
Ahh okay I see. Am assuming a recession or depression within near future.

Im currently trading options for moonshots.
My goal is a 3 mil account size, then just sell options 90% of the time for income.

This 35x trade on NUGT occurred in the last 6 months.

Has anyone had some moonshots using options? My biggest is 44x on OTM SPY options

Selling options is risky af. It might not look like it, but it is. I have years of experience, and as it looks all good and dandy one day out if the blue something will go wrong and youll lose everything. Dont believe this guy
