I have a lot of terrible things going on in my life right now and I finally cracked this weekend. I gambled money I had no business gambling and lost $14k. I absolutely could not afford to do that but I did it anyway. Now I’m fucked. I know the mistake is mine and I have no one to blame. But I don’t know how to move on and mentally get over this. How the fuck can I mentally move on from this? Serious advice appreciated.

Wagie for a year to make up for it. Get a second job. Maybe then you will learn your lesson.

I’ve spent 3-5k on several occasions on strippers and blow. At least with gambling you have a chance to win. With drugs and whores you always lose

>How the fuck can I mentally move on from this?
You will, because your brain is made to do so but it will take some time. Google hedonic treadmill. As far as gambling goes, get therapy srs.

>> No.15779546

Take out a loan and make back the $14K, you will real good afterwards. 50/50 chance either you will feel great again, or just a little worse than before.

Believe me I already learned my lesson. I won’t be gambling ever again that’s for sure. But that still won’t get me out of this $14k hole that I’m in. Even if I make the money back by working I could have made that money AND still had the $14k if I hadn’t been so reckless. And that will always sting.

You need to let go of the guilt and self hatred you have got going on. You made a bad call. Big deal, we are all human. When you blow an opportunity like this it makes it very easy to spot good opportunities in the future. Keep your head up and try not to remain in a defeated mindset. Feel sad, angry, whatever, but not defeated because you will get through it

Jesus and wasting it on niggerball too. wow anon. Feeling bad is an indicator of something. Move on and stop being a fucking degenerate. Stop watching niggers run around first of all.

>> No.15779821

I felt like that when I lost nearly £300. I felt better when I read gambling addict stories of people losing well over £10k like in your case. Honestly $14k is nowhere enough compared to other stories, that's just half a year wageslaving in the US. There were ppl who lost 5 yrs+ worth of savings in single nights.
You could have your $14k now, yes, but that's unhealthy, consider it some kind of fee that you paid to learn a valuable lesson.

>> No.15779882

did you blow your savings on this or actually go into negative territory? I've had to start over from $0 before after being liquidated a few times in crypto, so I know that feel. if you owe people money because of this mistake though, that's a whole nother level of degen that I can't relate to.

That sting is what you paid for. Be glad it wasn't even more destructive. 14k was the price it took for you to have that lesson take. Now own that responsibility, use that pain as positive motivation, and get to work making it right.

I sent $10,000 worth of ETH to the wrong address about 2 months ago. I was depressed for like a week but eventually you have to realize that there's nothing you can do to change the past and try to use it as a learning experience so you don't fuck up again in the future.

You need to feel those feelings. But look at it this way, though the pain of that mistake will resonate throughout the next year or so, you will not make that mistake again. If you paid 14k to cure yourself of excess gambling and the losses that come with it, you got off cheap in the end.

We all have our own mental failures, some involve money and some don’t. You are paying to learn your lesson but ultimately you will SAVE MONEY because of it.

Nothing will help in the short term though my man.

Joking aside, this is very good advice. You done goofed, Anon. If you hate yourself, you won’t feel like you are worth going through the trouble of improving. Forgive yourself. You will recover your money. Thank you for sharing the story of how much you fucked up. You should perhaps look into recreational activities that scare you. The dopamine burnout from gambling is pretty strong. You may need to turn to extreme sports or caving or something like that just to feel engaged. You need to rewire your brain. I know you say you are never gambling again, but someone doesn’t rack up this kinda debt in one weekend if they arent already struggling with a problem. I wish you luck, you retard

That was you?
I wondered where that came from.
THANK YOU SO MUCH, MAN!
I was so stoked I gave some to a friend of mine.
Apparently, he went to Vegas, and lost it all, and then some. Fucking dumbass.
Thanks again!

By the way, joking aside, I made the mistake of half-assedly getting into crypto years ago with the "buy it, and forget it" mindset. I failed to secure the notepad with all my passwords, etc, and lost it a couple of moves ago (life has not been kind).
I'm probably a millionaire today, and don't even know it. I can't even remember what I bought.
Nearly $5000.
BTC
ETH
LINK
TRX
and I think DASH, and two others.
Don't make this mistake either!
I'm finally sucking up that resentment, and getting back in on this dip.
What the Hell, right? Being wealthy without any money is what most of us are good at anyway, right?
RIGHT?!
Awww, just punch me in the teeth already.

I once blew through $25k I had in savings.
I learned from it and now I make around $1k per week with a neet lifestyle.
