I guess that strategy is good, if you have a family and kids and can't afford to take risk.

But to maximize return you need to market time, people have been brainshed saying it is NOT POSSIBLE but the stock market is ALL ABOUT TIMING, it's all about that.

I prefer to live on the fast lane

Yes you can buy in an index fund for 45 years and have your million at 60-65 but that's not the point.

Life is about living on the fast lane and taking calculated risk.

Warren Buffet market timed his whole life, read his bio, but he goes on CNBC saying never do this like all those CNBC NPC.

You see back in 1995 we didn't have things like iphones, amazon and uber which add trillions to the economy in the form of wealth and opportunity. That's why the line on the chart goes generally up.

The line on the cryptochart goes all over and then down because its based on the speculation that some other chump will pay more for it tomorrow than you did today.

market timing is about maxing return.

you can buy all market tops for 45 years and end up with 1M$ at the end of it if you kept investing and never sold

but who cares about 1M$ in 45 years

I'm not saying get out now, I just think you should raise a cash now while you can 50% cash minimum, for my case I am 100% in cash I understand that's not for everybody because sitting 48h on cash makes people ADHD and society pushes people to have those sort of behavior in this casino that's the stock market

Time the market and have a long term view

But if you don't care about maxing return then you can buy index or mutual fund, and invest a little bit each month

Warren Buffet cared about maxing return so he market timed.

but buy SP500 & NASDAQ 100 mutual fund are shit because of fees, even 1% is fucking huge when you think long term and most of them don't even beat the market you are basically paying a guy to give you worst result

Fucking lmao, what a dumbass. Why are you on the investment board, you clearly don't know shit or care about investment, just put money in your 401(k) like every other boomer and forget about it, you'll be almost rich by the age of 68.
Also there's no reason to diversify unless you think proprieties will crash forever (they won't) rental brings more money in a safer manner you're just losing money gambling on the future of the economy.

If you have a high paying stable job, I would just get a home equity loan and not touch the real estate stuff just keep your first paid house that's it.

When you do you are not trying to time the bottom but invest on sentiment, do all the calculate yourself and dont borrow too much and do everything right and good or you will get wiped out

but if you do this right without taking too much out it is pretty safe still a bit risky but living life is also risky.

try to do this scenario like scenario like in 08

don't ever do this until you turn on CNBC and start being fearful yourself.

the more fearful you are when you turn CNBC the more you should do this

I am against taking stupid risk, but you need to bet heavily when odds are in your favor.

it's like in poker, you can go all in with AA still small chance to loose, but odds are highly in your favour.

you can never eliminate and uncertainty completly or else there is no opportunity to make money

some multi millionaire and billionaire got wiped out in 2008 because they are also humans and get greedy and invest carelessly, they all made the same mistake : borrow too much, invest carelessly, herd mentality, leverage while the market is going up

you leverage yourself to the brink when the market is going down.

but that means sometimes sitting on cash for 1-2 years to buy something at 1c on the dollars

but who does this in this ADHD world ?

No one thinks rental properties will crash forever.
You seem to think the stock market will crash forever or at least need 40 years to recover.
One thing I notice about people like you who sat on the sidelines for decades warning people not to buy in now because its at the top, are extremely jealous and emotional at people who did buy at all points and time and made spectacular profits.
I mean look how angry and emotional you are just because I buy ETFs and mutual funds with my savings and not rental properties?

>Have been attempting to pull the majority of my money out of the stock market. Still have some left in stock/options if i sell at current prices but am waiting for prices to go up on those.

I would pull out most of money out of the stock market.

Maybe keep 20% max, in case the market still goes up a little and as it goes up trim those 20% little by little until you are 100%

good things you never panic sell even when it crashes

don't gamble on option

raise or save as much cash as possible then go all in, in stocks when it falls apart, but you need to be patient to do this and leave the gambling ADHD to others you can pull of the million if you choose the right individual stocks when it crashes

also maybe put 10% in legit crypto project when bitcoin is below 2k

don't do all the BS gold/silver

sorry spelling mistake english is not my mother tongue

but save your money from now on don't buy starbuck or spend carelessly do this when you are a millionaire

First: It doesnt make sense for a whale to sell now since he will lose money with negative interest when he hoards cash from the trade. Since money is cheap af for Banks and the fed/ecb is stimulating the market (more likely forcing consumers to spend rather than so save) there wont be a crisis until rates MUST go up to prevent inflation.

Second: There are investors who focuses on substainable dividend payers. Those dividend payers are essencial for our life and too big to fall. So there are the folks who wants a passive income.

Third: You are right. There are newfags all around us in stock market. And also people who dont understand the market and are emotionaly binded with their money. Those will be the first who will post wojaks here instead of thinking rationally and buy when it goes down.

Fourth: I already rebalanced my cash flow in that way so i can save 80% of my income as cash.

Indeed. Negative deposit rates for banks are forcing them to actually buy everything instead of hoarding it or lending it all out to people with poor scores.

Also this morning i read on a german finance newspaper that the european central reserve bank is going to pump central bank money on the european stock market to prevent a hard crash.
