Share buy backs many times over the last several years iirc. That pumps the share value and makes earnings per share look deceiving. I want to get puts out to 2021 or 2022 cause if the stock market crashes theyll be hit real hard. Unless it reacts like 2009. Measly 30%-50% avg drop for big name companies now isnt a lot. A 30% drop will only take us back to 2015 stock market levels. A 50% drop to Amazon would be lile 2017 levels. Hows that even a recession!? I don't think I would make any trades off the chart I posted. If I were looking for patterns, I think the chart makes sense up to April. Starting in April is where it looks a little strange. After that, it looks like you might have done well if, a week out from expiry, you bought options with the idea that the share price would go across the nearest strike price.
