I ended up losing my phone this weekend, it was an 8 plus, and it was fine for me. But I do need a new phone with a decent camera as I'm starting a new new biz and need product shots etc. Also I have all my contatcs photos etc on my Iphone.

I think the biggest misconception is that people actually use the cameras for anything more than selfies, some shitty pictures of their food or a holiday location so they can feel some self importance on social media. Apple is just really good at marketing and convincing consumers they need it and how it will improve their lives and make them happier.
Sure there is the odd exception to this rule of people that genuinely enjoy photography or require a decent camera for their jobs but I'm talking about the masses.
