Maybe WoW isn't like that, I dunno
but if you aren't playing with people right now, they'll be ahead of you in levels, so there will be a disconnect

also only certain types of people are OK with paying fifteen dollars ($15) per month to play a single video game

like to me, it doesn't matter how much money I have or how much money I earn: I will never spend any money on entertainment service subscriptions. None. But $15 every month to sit in a 5 hour queue is comical. You gotta admire Blizzard for that.

This would not be a misunderstanding
In this era, the world is not yet allowed to pursue the profound and noble potential of content
Then
What should we do now
Is n’t it a war?
No, there is no world without war
Including conflicts between internal reserves and growth policies
You should at least think you still needed to figure out something
For example, before you vote, ask if it ’s genuine.
Japanese antiques have real and fake even the lid of the box
So in order to purchase them, you must first carefully determine their authenticity
Exactly the same
Because the essence of things often appears there.
It ’s good if you do n’t want to crush your personal satisfaction.
If that's all you need
I do n’t say who ’s lid
Politics is also a war
The market is also war
And love is also a war
There are few people looking for the true ideal partner from end to end in the world, and even fewer people have the power and time to make it possible
But originally there may be fewer people who can find the ideal partner even in the center of their heart.
The whispering happiness of those who were stabbed by repression by Anus Leader may have paid the barrier to reach there
Anyway, it would have been a little necessary
Okay?
But never come to Japan
Never come to our Japan, the empire of the gods
The Olympics are coming soon
I'm sorry but you guys watch on your TV
TVs are already being distributed at reasonable prices.

>What is the consensus on dividend growth investing
extremely dank

>How much stock would you need to own for $100k of dividends? I'm guessing something like $1.5m

The whole point of dividend growth investing is that you could invest only, say $100K now and then at some point in the future (50 years, more or less) you might expect to get $100K or so yearly in dividends
that's the idea of yield-on-cost. It's not just cost and yield, there is a time component. Actually the time component is the most important, time will work for you to get you more money AND more yield. Very nice stuff.

If you buy 1.5M of super high-yield stocks today, you could get $100k/year after tax, but it would be all risky yields. Those would be yields that might not grow that much.
Better to buy 1.5M of high quality stocks, that might only yield 10k-20k right now, but their yields (and share prices) will keep growing consistently as the years go by...

That's my strat. While you can very conservatively estimate an overall yield on your portfolio to be around 3%, it would be around 3 mil although you could get some stable high yielders, around 6%, and get 100k per year on 1.5 mil. However that strat would be shitty. The goal is the "growth" part. You buy companies that will continually grow their dividend every year so after 20 years or so down the road, on you initial purchase of the stock, you get 10%+ yield that continues to grow. Its a slow game desu

Sucky week. But fuck it. I'm down -2.35% so all in all not to bad.

PINS will I hope, be another FB in the making. (Yeah I know it ain't the same but its closest to what PINS is) One day PINS will be sitting at $100 per. I'll be celebrating like mad! Or who knows maybe they'll get bought as they get bigger over time. I'll still be celebrating if it's true. Or now this is a gamble but perhaps as the stock price grows one day they'd give out a stock split to shareholders. A 2:1 or 4:1 would be pretty sweet.

AMRN will kick the FDA's ass end of this year. Then a buyout or no buyout I'll be sitting on a nice Green Pile. The stock will be flying high. $45 - 50 per and I'm selling like mad! If no buyout happens though.

LGF is down, yeah I won't sugar coat it. But now that the streaming wars are here they'll get bought soon. The previous attempts failed due to them wanting to sell the whole company not just part of it. But like I said, The Streaming Wars are here. Beggars can't be choosers and if they want LGF they'll pay and get the whole company to get the content LGF has.

Is there a realistic chance to avoid wagecucking?
As far as I see it there are the following trading related options.
>make an forex/futures algo
Forex and futures mostly because it's uninterrupted with no opening gaps. Also not so much news flow which puts more weight on long term fundamentals and TA/analysis/statistics/prediction models...
I don't think it's so hard to find a strat that works at least for a while but it's a shitton of work from data apis to data storing and structuring to the algo itself + error checking and other shit. That's a lot of work for a single brainlet like me. Jimmy/James/John/whatever Simmons says that efficient market hypothesis is approximately
true which is not good. It basically means that there is no edge and approximately means that edges form, work for a while and stop working.
We can either brute force a working algo, also called overfitting and hope that we overfit a little into the future. People already do this => the timeframe where those algos will work will become shorter. What after that?
Am I seeing this too dire? Is efficient market a meme after all?

The other options are gambling and p&ds.

some do use components or materials sourced from Mainland China, but it's hard to do a full supply-chain analysis and figure out what the situation is. As long as the main fabs are secure, auxiliary parts and materials can be secured from other sources if needed.

If China ultra-chimps out and goes for Taiwan, PC component prices are going to go INSANE, but it seems super unlikely. And North Korea seems to be chill right now, so South Korea (SSDs, display panels, all kinds of other semis) shouldn't be at any big risk.

There is a degree of misinterpreting happening between China and the USA.

Just imagine the Chinks trying to get a hold on what the fuck Trump means. From their perspective it must be perplexing, and there are many more bilingual Chinese than there are bilingual Americans. Pretty much all the bilingual Mandarin speakers have Chinese ancestry.

One day Trump will call Xi an enemy, the next day he will call him a friend.

The reality of the situation is that Trump does the tariff hit, and then he does damage control on the stock market by talking up Chinese trade talks.

The Chinese understand this now, and they will start playing information warfare with American stock markets with retaliatory tariffs and embargoes.

China's prerequisites for a trade talk is the elimination of all tariffs.

Absolutely not priced in. Market dipped hard then rebounded when Trump claimed fake calls from China, thinking (retardedly, counter-intuitively) that that signaled he was looking to de-escalate. Market's gonna do a poop on Tuesday, especially when China hits back to maximize leverage over the US markets Trump holds so dear

I like the ability to easily get in and out of the no-fee ETFs, but if they are inferior funds then maybe it’s best to stay away. I’m building a list of the ones I’m interested in for now, but we’ll see. Even the no-load, no-fee mutual funds look like they might have a better selection.

its important to note that the only thing keeping the top two economies afloat is their domestic consumption, which is always the last to go before a recession. If the new tariffs begin to damage that, we may see a the start of a death spiral. The only thing companies from layoffs is the fact that they'd loose money by not selling off the inventory that they can. Was ignoring QE part of your plan?

I can’t remember who it was, but there was an interview with a former official saying that the biggest winner of QE policies were investors. I’m not going to be sitting that out with the rest of the poors, because I think cash/gold/bonds will keep me safe. (I think he said stock market investors, but I’m sure it helped bond holders as well)

So I’m looking at a bunch of ETFs. Currently liking the look of SPLV, LGLV, CGW, NFO, VIG, MTUM, and even RYU & SCHH.

Utilities have been doing CRAZY well, and I’m not sure if that’s because investors see them as low vol, or if it’s because energy costs are so low due to Permian oil.

What's been proven in the last 20 years is that professional fund managers can't beat the profits that buying the index as a whole returns.

So everyone is buying ETFs that represent the index as a whole. These have ultra low fees and simply can't go bankrupt.

SPY for example is the ETF for the S&P 500 in the USA.

Given this reality, the only decision now is what country's market to invest in and the currency fluctuations associated with that.

American stocks right now are more expensive than at any point in the last 120 years, except for the year 2000.

All it takes is for ONE Tweet from Donald J Trump for the market to go down like a dumpsterfire or SHOOT UP LIKE A ROCKETSHIP.

Technically we're either going to collapse back down to the bottom end of the range of around 2840ish, or push out to retest the ATH.

It all feels very similar to October to December 2018, but obviously more compressed and with less price actions.

>> No.15462305

Did something happen or are you just bored?

There’s a big storm, and the previously announced tariffs went in to play as was expected, even if some were hoping otherwise. I see no reason for that to cause anything more than a small pullback, if that.

Just make sure to use a stoploss if you do go short, Don could issue a tweet, or Hong Kong could go very bad fast, or maybe we’ll see some positive development or some good news from Japan/Korea.

This market likes to make quick moves in either direction, I wouldn’t bet too much on being smarter than it.

He knows that any downturn as a result of his words/actions is one that he can manipulate higher within a week or two.

Think of the May correction. He fires up Twitter at the end of May/early June, announces tariffs on Mexico unless an agreement is made. Market tanks. An agreement is made almost immediately and a huge relief rally happens.

I think once he is forced into a corner and can't do the above is when the market tanks. Or worse yet, he attempts to do the above but the market doesn't react to him, and just keeps dropping.
