Some friend told me about ultra and how much he invested in it, how he believes this is the future of gaming industry. is it really that good?

I don’t know about the gaming parts, but I got a big bag cause there is rumoured to be three exchange listings coming. Also their MM will start to pump soon. Lets see how this plays out

steam is pretty shit. You can't even run a singleplayer game without having to go through steam. You don't even technically own your games and sometimes modding can be a bit difficult because of steam allowances and such, you have to make extra adjustments to get things to work. The one and only good thing is that if your hd crashes and you forget to back stuff up, your most recent savegames are on the cloud.

a platform that lets you sell used digital games both video games or trading card games will be extremely extremely successful and there is huge money to be made. but only once there are quality publishers on the platform and some massive reason to go through the trouble. everyone got steam in the first place because you needed it for counter strike.

I think this is one of my favorite projects. I love gaming, but i hate the monopoly of steam. change it please.

i should add to this by saying that it seems like it would be a very tough sell to publishers given that new sales would be constantly competing against a churning mass of existing product which seems extremely disadvantageous to the current situation, so much so that even with no commission at all paid to the platform it seems risky at least. established large publishers will for sure hate it.

You should not buy at steam they are ripoffs
but there are many other alternatives were u can buy the key much cheaper. But who knows , i am following Ultra but if they can achieve what they do I will surely use it

You can remove games from your library by going through the automated customer service, its easy. You can even hide it from view if thats too much work

My steam account will be 16 years old in a few weeks. My other account will be 8 or 9. I never log in to steam anymore. The stupid hype and appeal of being cheap games to waste your time in is so sad. I played TF2 mostly because it was a Valve property. I respected that for the most part. Dota got swept up by gooks. CSGO got swept up by gamblers and dopamine addicts.

It just isn't the same anymore. It will never be the same again.
