Hey /biz/, doc here, 2 days ago I had a nice thread answering lot of stuff about supplements, drugs, etc.
Had a lot of fun and desu can't discuss those things with patients, some of you asked me to do a weekly thread and I will do the first right now.

Last post: >>15295599 (I was not OP, but ID: vquSKkyl)

Ask about anything, you are in the doc's office now. Last thread interest raised from this post:

>~ +35% life expectancy, first generations >doing so results will have to be seen in a few decades.

It is one of the few components that has proven to be anti-inflammatory along its longevity effects. It's basically astragaloside IV along with Angelicae Sinensis. It extends life in rats for a 20-35% wich is just terrific. It is part of a basic list of supplements extended in Asia like Valerian root is in occident. I'm pretty convinced that is plays a vital role in the general asian longevity.

Blood sugar spikes. More than 88Cd of potency, taking it for a life long will make you have a high risk profile of cancer, not even joking, anti-inflammatory properties does not compensate the extreme sugar spikes, basically because INMUNUSUPRESSION + SUGAR SPIKES = bad.

Yeah, Crohn's change things.
You can't take Glutamine since it make a sugar spike originated just after digestion. You should try to take anti-inflammatori supplements in a daily basis, starting by curcumin.

You really should take curcumin every single day in medium-high doses, For Crohn's it can be life changing. Not exagerating even a bit, stay with curcumin for 2-3 months and you will have to thank me someway.

>drug history (am 22 now)
Drank heavily (think at least 1 handle a week, usually in a day or two) from ages 13-20. Haven't drank since then.

Smoked weed daily from 15-22. Haven't smoked in a month.

Abused pills, including amphetamines, benzos, painkillers, barbituates, etc from 15-20. Still occasionally take an adderall here or there, but no other. But when I did use, was sporadic and a typical binge.

Abused psych's/mdma - have done x/molly 20+ times, typically waited a few months inbetwen dosing, but also have done it 3+ times in a month. Psychs, I've used em all; lsd, lsa, nbome, shrooms, mescaline, dmt, ketamine, 4-amo-dmt (i think it's called), 2cb and other rc's, etc. Have done each of these substances 5 times, with acid being closer to 20. Usually spaced out, from ages 15-21.

Cigs: First at 7, started socially around 12, 15 was pack a day til 22, 8 months no smoking (but using ecig occasionally).

Stop taking refinated suggar, then:

Start taking half of your benzo dose, halve it every 5 days.
Take at the same time and for the rest of the process 15 GRAMS of inositol every day, it is a lot, just do it. If you want more info search about it in examine.com.

Anyway it will hurt, it will be bad and you need to know it will. However I'm trying to reduce that pain for at least 60%.

When you get to the point where you are at the 25% of the maximum dose for 5 straight days, then you stop taking the benzo and start taking ashwagandha, just buy it in some supplement online store. Take 300mg at morning and 300mg at night.

Do it for 5 more days and then stop the benzo treatment, continue with ashwagandha for 2 weeks more. You will notice how just fine things went.

Whenever you got anxiety again take Valerian root and ashwagandha (300mg not more than once a day) at the same time.

Also, I know it looks like a meme but start meditating and doing sport.

Thoughts on B15? I take it from time to have less delusional thoughts.

If you want mental strength, tongkat ali is your friend.

But I have a question doc, what is the best supplement for mental clarity? B12 is a strong candidate but it feels very caffeine like, a high I don't like. Lithium orate is great but it's minor. Vitamin D is the no. 1 way to feel happy over time in my book. Ginko is very on/off, mostly off but it certainly does help. In particular stuff with programming and the such.

This is hard to answer, but no, I'm sorry, The maximum I can say is try jooging, sport and a good diet. I would stay away from caffeine.

I would MAYBE recommend Rhodiola Rosea, it really makes a difference but it plays with some dopamine receptors which could be dangerous in your situation.

However, this is it, or Rhodiola Rosea or nothing. It is a stimulatory adaptogen, although not classically stimulatory like caffeine. It could really make the trick, however you need to be carefull.

>>15312297
Pic related, curcumin is hard to absorb so try to be disciplined with the method.

Also... you got a hard drug history.
It won't work if you keep taking drugs, thats not necessary to say but let me remark it: If you keep taking hard drugs even once a year this wont do shit:

You need to re-modify the energy metabolism in your brain, we are doing it through a a mitochondrial compound like Alpha lipoic Acid. You will take it along with L-carnitine (mitochondrial oxidation).
Now, when you take those you will probably have headaches for the first days, if you take 5 grams of chlorella or spirulina along with it, those headaches should disappear, that's what happens when you got a toxified environment in your brain that suddenly sees how much clean it can be.
Alpha lipoic acid: 300mg/day. 5 days a week for your case.
L-carnitine: 1000mg /day. 7 days a week.
1 whole year with this and you will probably will have cured any kind of brain injury or lack of memory.
PD: Alcohol problems with only 13-15 years old will probably let hopeless brain injuries.

This guy is talking absolute waffle. Pred is a good anti inflam. Also i presume you mean mcg as a dose? I dont get your dosing freauency though. Are you saying 20mcg every 12 days for the past 6 years?

Do you have IBD? Also used for rheumatic/ osteo arthritis but youre too young for that.

Pred at higher doses can can cause adverse effects similar to the symptoms of cushings disease, increaded trunk fat, moonface, limb muscle atrophy and some hair loss/ thinning.

The main concern with pred is adrenocortical insufficiency, which is basically your body stops producing tropin hormones to release cortisol. However your dose isnt usually causative of this, typically >15mcg or higher.

Just make sure to taper down when/ if youre coming off it.

This original OP is talking bullshit about rats and stuff. Not even remotely clinically relevant lol. Hope yoire doing ok with whatever condition you have.
