well i stopped geth, because had some other maintenance stuff to do, it lost track of the head and then couldn't resync, that's because i was using docker, so decided to just use geth directly, now i have to wait another 24h or so for it to resync all

pretty sure you'll be able to sell adapters at some point.
you gotta be paid for your work, you can't provider professional grade adapters without being paid.
that's my opinion though.

imagine someone write a very optimized adapter that can fetch data faster and better? people will wanna have that adapter instead of the buggy slow one.

so pretty sure there will be adapter selling at some point

>> No.15292649

oh of course you can have your proprio adapter, it doesn't really matter if you keep it to yourself, in fact, it all depends on the demand.

when TEEs will be available i'm pretty sure people will get very creative with adapters, because with Tees you can do alooot of stuff, you can literally write an adapter that could drive your tesla to a specific location and hit someone specific using face recognition.

Do you know the minimum amount of links necessary to run a node ?

>> No.15296404

>>15296331
you can run a node with 0 links, but on a day to day basis i'd suggest you would need enough link to handle collaterals
consider this:
- 1 api call is 0.1 link
- your node recieved 1 request every 10 minutes

1 request per 10 minute = 144 calls per day
144*0.1 = 14.4 link per day as collateral

as a requester i'd prolly ask for maybe 4 - 5 days links as collateral (if you node is offline that long it's def not normal)

14.4 * 5 = 72 link

so as a requester i'd prolly feel okay if your node has atleast 72 links in it.

but that's if 1 request is 0.1 link, if you reduce price to 0.01, then you'd need 7.2 link atleast

>> No.15296414
