>The three chief executives were in Washington for a previously scheduled meeting with Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin on banking secrecy and money laundering, according to people familiar with the matter. On a conference call, they briefed the president, who was at his resort in Bedminster, New Jersey.

A green candle here and there doesn't mean that it's going up but given the chart it might really make a swing up. They had a massive restructuring so it's not that surprising that the report was a fucking mess. They suffer the same fate as all banks in low yield environment. In the future you will have to pay the banks for keeping your money and given the cashless, digital money trend you won't have a choice. Hiding it under your bed is not an option anymore.

Final composition:

50% - AMRN

40% - T Babies

10% - KDP,Comcast,GE,BHGE,VTI, QYLD,DIS,KHC,PINS

Took a loss when I sold some low hanging holdings but fuck it, it works out good cause less of a Tax bite when it comes due.

Might also add to my T Babies if they go on sale.

I like m1 finance. It doesn't necessarily do DRIP, but it does partial shares so you can just apply it to all your holdings. Think there is a way if you want the divies to go to specific stocks, but i like it more because it attempts to keep your portfolio balanced to what you have it set as when buying -ie of you have 25 percent of A and 75 of B, and you have it set to 50/50, money goes to A until you're even. Shameless plug: https://mbsy.co/tcBqC

Also remember its all about time in market. High dividend earners are all about growing your shares by re-investing to buy more

next century i think there will be max 1-2 billion people on earth. half way this century population will decline hard and i think it will accelerate with robotics these are too positive estimates. now most increase comes from third world west developed world has stopped already

Soros amassed his fortune as one of the world's greatest speculators in the global financial markets. >Spotting the writing on the wall, Britain upped its interest rates to the teens to attract people to the pound, but speculators, George Soros among them, began heavy shorting of the currency.

The British government gave in and withdrew from the ERM as it became clear that it was losing billions trying to buoy its currency artificially. Although it was a bitter pill to swallow, the pound came back stronger because the excess interest and high inflation were forced out of the British economy following the beating. Soros pocketed $1 billion on the deal and cemented his reputation as the premier currency speculator in the world.

Redpill me on T, king of the boomer stocks.

35 years of increasing divvies, 6% yield, #1 or #2 in every field they compete in. On the other hand, massive debt it used to pay for shit that's probably going to decline given cord-cutting trends. (DirecTV, Warner).

Discs (DVD/Blu) will be slowly phased out. Why would they bother with them when they can push the films/shows directly to the service and force people to sign up to get it. Save the company some cash in the process to boot (paying to have all those discs made)

Disney is going to shit on them with their gigantic pile of IPs and the fanatism of MCU fanboys. I don't see Netflix going bust anytime soon (if only because a nonzero percentage of any lost users will forget to cancel their subscription) but they're not going to dominate growth unless they can come up with something that makes streaming platforms compete on something other than exclusive content.

Fuck netflix, I still don't feel comfortable investing in them. They're not going to get "killed" by any of the newcomers, but disney is the one to watch. If you're going to subscribe to a service, it's the one your kids can watch too. Frozen 2 gonna be big, buddy. Never doubt the mouse.

KNG is the ticker symbol

It's an ETF that holds Dividend Aristocrats and performs a partial buy-write monthly strategy to achieve target annual yields 3% greater than the S&P500.
It's very new https://www.cboevest.com/etfs/
The point is to achieve high yield and steady growth at the same time
Instead of a full buy-write ETF like PBP or QYLD, which write 100% calls and give up their gains for more yield, KNG only writes calls on approx 20% of the underlying (adjusted for market conditions). So the underlying holdings will still grow, and thus the payout will also still grow in perpetuity.
There are significant tax advantages to this kind of strategy as well, because you are holding shares of an ETF so the buy-write mechanic happens inside the ETF, not on your shares (you still enjoy mostly long-term cappy gains)

Fantastic hold in crabb market conditions, a consistent and high yield enables you to buy more during uncertainty, and the growth potential means that you don't have to worry about trying to time the market

If we go down hard, cash or bonds or gold are better. But that relies on timing to buy in at or near the bottom.
If we go up hard, then pure-equity ETFs are better. In that case buying calls or leveraged ETFs is better too

KNG is a strong addition to any portfolio that performs well under any market conditions. For the next 5-10 years, my advice is to find good yield and hold on. You can't get reasonable yields from bonds anymore unless you go low-grade.

My Outlook for the next 5-10 years is pretty sideways. Despite what the bears say, the Fed still has plenty of powder to stabilize the equities market if needed. I think that we will see centralized powers continue to take just enough action to keep things together, but not pump the market. Their statements and recent actions support this

DIS - Streaming Service

T - Streaming service

Apple/Amazon - Streaming

How would KNG perform during a recession? Assuming the calls get exercised, a maximum of 20% (as stated on their website) would get sold to honor it at a loss. As with any call-writing strategy, you are trading some of your possible upside for yield, while still experiencing all of the downside.
As you know, a recession is a descriptor of an economic cycle, and doesn't necessarily imply anything particular for stock prices. Even then there are so many different things that can happen.
Buy-Write ETFs do well in cases where the market isn't moving significantly up or down. And the yield gets much more attractive in times when bond yields are low (right now).

Basically KNG gives a nice set of upsides for a wide array of market conditions. In some conditions you will underperform the S&P, and in some cases it will go down. But in most cases it is a good hold, to add an income generator to your portfolio with most of the upsides of equities. There is good opportunity for long-term gains in yield on cost that you can't really get anywhere else.

I don't trade futures. We don't have many posters here who do.
Futures are like options: you're not buying a revenue stream, you're buying and selling contracts, so it's more "financial"

you should be able to find some information using "google.com", like so:
https://www.google.com/search?q=futures+broker
The minimum account value depends on which broker you use.

Oh okay. I figured since the emini is basically the same thing as trading SPY, some people here might have some insight. And fuck google I get all my trading wisdom from the chans.

Does anyone have any experience transferring stocks off Robinhood to another brokerage? I'm trying to decide whether to just sell on RH and re-buy on another brokerage, or to do an ACAT transfer. Is there any broker that would cover any ACAT fees? If not, it might make more sense to wait a little and sell, since my LT capital gains rate should be 0%.

Staying on RH makes sense for now because I'm writing options that may be as low as $1 per contract at times. I don't have options enabled on Charles Schwab, but they say there's a $0.75 commission per contract so, that would really kill my current strategy. Any commission-free brokers that are better than Robinhood?

Robinhood charges $75 to move your stock plus whatever the new place charges.

I've been trading for 6 months quite profitably at about 1 trade per week. but I've never shorted anything. how could short so i can make money going both directions? do i need a special account to short, and do all brokerages offer it?

>> No.15286698

>>15286655
Typical yeah you need margin account for pure shorts because you are being loaned shares by definition of shorting !!!!

but if you are just looking to short indices and like countries they are many inverse ETFS for look at (like SPXU for short S&P)

That's what I read, but I also read that the receiving brokerage might cover the outgoing's charges. Any recommandations on another brokerage with free trades or a limited number of free trades a month? I'd like to be able to buy maybe $200 of some particular stock every month, but paying $4.95 per transaction is a non-trivial amount.

Anymore while buying the Dip is a good thing even that won't save you when a Trump Tweet can lead to mass panic and a big shat in no time. The only thing that can save you is if you bought during the Mega Dip of last year.

So buy the dip and be prepared. You're gonna get into the shat at some point no mater what so you may as well face it now and just ride the wave.
