This site is a former shell of itself. That's clear to many people. It may seem like getting trump elected was a huge feat and the pinnacle of the site, but I see those as the dying gasps of a much more esoteric and powerful knowledge that was imbued in the site at the beginning. /b/ was a revolution, getting a president elected was the last thing on their mind but they could've if they wanted to. I want to build something better, a second renissance of 4chan, imbue it with new life and meaning and create a new bond in the shadows. I don't know if I can do it here though, not that I dont believe we can shake off 12 years of decay and bring a new culture shock to the zoomers of 4chan, I know I could make it happen, but i am not sure if that is the right desicion or if I should strive for a clean slate and make something entirely new to enjoy. I am unsure anons, please provide your input.

No not a new chan, I know many here like the chan format but I dont think it would make it during the transition, nor do I think I want it to. I am not talking simply a new website, I am talking new culture, new ideas, innovative content. Not in a corporate way but in the same way that made 4chan revolutionary initially, people motivated towards a cause. The why and how has been to give as little of a fuck as possible, while still being the most creative thing to conceptually exist. That is in my opinion what made /b/ great in the beginning. So yes I am moving on, I am just deciding wether to create this new culture here or somewhere else.

This site doesn't have that level of influence, if it did it wouldn't be allowed to exist. If it did have that level of influence, all that talk on /pol/ about shit like Civil War and neo-nazism wouldn't be taken lightly.

Sure, the average deranged/susceptible young man who may have come here to be influenced, and acts on a whim to catch some headlines, is perhaps an unfortunate outcome of this place. But it's nothing significant. If someone actually wanted to do something significant, its impact would either be too sophisticated to report to the general public, or too sensitive to revealed. Nothing like that could be organized here, and that's why they leave 4chan alone, I believe.

I disagree, I think the site is still fundamentally the source counter culture of the internet age and derives it's power largely from such. I think memetic warfare is encapsulating the minds of people and 4chan is winning, there are 15 year olds unaware of what 4chan even is that are making videos on YouTube about how the holocaust was fake using the exact talking points and infographics /pol/ refined almost a decade ago. There was never anything cool about being antisemtic 20 years ago, it was synonymous with Mel Gibson level conspiracy and now its moved its way into the mainstream.

Don't get me wrong, I am not centrist or leftist, I don't support politics in general and believe people can self rule themselves. I think it's disengenuous to suggest this site has not had an effect on the political system at this point, I have seen people use trump supporting memes that were popularized here during the election, and lets not forget pepe. My brother doesnt even use 4chan and barely knows it exists and has a pepe avatar on steam.

The one thing I would concede too is that there is a distinct possibility that the site merely capitalized on emerging social trends and became "larger then life" as such, maybe it was inevitable that we would end up with silly capitioned pictures and reaction images going mainstream and that a cultural shift towards anime and authoritarian politics was on its way. Personally I think it was a bit of both with a sizable influence coming from the sites direct culture outwards that has shaped this counter culture, rather then absorbing and radiating it out into internet.

Your comment has helped me though anon, its pinpointed my purpose further. I must create a new way to distribute culture and immerse myself into its roots to see if I can effect things. Memes are old news, they are merely propoganda at this point, i will bring my vision to life and see what happens and if I can create a new paradigm.

There are at least 3 tiers of jannies
I have been banned hundreds of times for shilling so here are the 3 I have encountered.

Top tier jannie:
- Can block your ISP from uploading images to a certain board. I have had them do this to me 3 times.
- Can make it so if you upload an image you get autobanned. They have done this to me many times so I have to make small changes to my shilling images often.

Mid tier jannies:
- Can tempban or ban you.
- Can read and delete your entire post history.

Low tier jannies:
- Can tempban a user for 15 minutes
- Tempbanned users get their report sent to a higher tier jannie for possible ban or post/thread deletion.

The best time to spam and shill is between 10pm and 5am Eastern Standard time. This is when there is the least moderation and when your threads/posts will stay up for the longest before being removed.

As a regular poster I actually wanted someone to notice, I guess. Partly because I think certain steps can be taken by younger men to avoid the pitfalls they might see described here. I assume what you describe being done is done through the use of cookies, as I've also seen "relevant" ads to some of the posts I've made. The only real concern I'd have is if cookies are also being used to track my general web browsing habits, other than 4chan/nel.
