How do get a job without interviewing or connections? I would happily work but not if I have to interview.

Its not that I just don't want to send out resumes, wrote cover letters, drive to locations. Just give me a job.

you sound highly motivated. just the kind of guy I'd want to hire. ffs you're going to have to drive to work too you know

Yeah fuck that. I remember a dude who's friends with my uncle said he'd give me a job at his company working on their website.
Said I had to interview, just as a formality. Turned into an hour-long process of answering meme questions like "why should we hire you" followed by whiteboard questions. I walked out.

Right but at that point, you already have the job. It's a waste of gas to drive to an interview for a job you statistically won't even get.

this lmao.
I had an interview the other day for a pretty entry level job, and had to do a 1 hour regular interview, telephone roleplay scenarios, and 2 competency exams lmao

This guy is 100% right. Companies expect you to spend 2h to apply. Register at their site, upload all your shit, certificates and shit, but faggot, you need to apply to at least 100 companies cause normies apply everywhere with shitty applications so if you apply to an offer 6h after it was published you are fucked. This guy has the key to evolve, you are not ready to understand him you fucking piece of normies.

Every job I've gotten was because I had a connection on the inside. If I contact a company by myself they won't even email me back. Nepotism is the employment black pill

>two+ hours
That's not a lot. If you aren't motivated about an opportunity to show off the value you add why would the employer assume you're motivated about anything? Why are you applying for a job you aren't interested in enough to gladly commit two hours to an interview?

You are getting exploited because you don't know how to keep up.

that's true, and it sucks. It's pretty fucking hard to look for a new job while you're already working too, cause you end up interviewing with dozens of companies before landing the right one.

if you're spending 2h on an application, you're doing it wrong. takes me 30 seconds to send my resume and a 'custom' cover letter to a company. if a company wants me to do the code test before the initial phone interview, I refuse.

After years of trying to make it without getting a real job I finally caved in and went to a job agency. Without any education they gave me the opportunity to demonstrate my worth with a general aptitude test which placed me in the top 1% of the country. This was then followed by interviews at a web development company. Total time on interviews was over 6 hours but I got the first job I applied to without any formal education or real life experience in 2007. It's because I was actually interested and could demonstrate my value.
I spent 10 years in the wagecage and it was much more enjoyable than I thought but still a cage, I'm now retired.

Yeah it fucking sucks but that’s the state of this clown job market. I blame all the laws surrounding employment & processes involved.

>>15170895
This guy has the right idea - I originally hated the idea of recruitment agencies, thought they were just another unnecessary layer in the shit sandwich that is the job search process, existing only to monetize us the jobseekers further by being a middleman and stealing more value out of the whole scam.

But if you think about it they have a strong incentive to do one thing: get you hired as quick as possible, because they get commissions on whoever they can place in a position successfully. My first job out of college came from Aerotek when I had just about given up, after months of fruitless applying day in and day out. I almost didn’t even take the recruiter’s initial call because I got so many of them daily, but I just went with it and found myself with a $60k offer at Boeing within a couple weeks. Companies that go the recruiter route are usually kind of desperate at that point anyway so you’re automatically even more likely to get the job.

Other than that.....if you don’t care what the job is, walk in to any restaurant or hotel and tell them you can start same day if they need you. Chances are they unironically do. The service industry has such a high fucking turnover (because it’s such a shit field to work in) they’ll take anyone with a pulse who can show up on time and not piss in the food.
