I do have an idea for a cryptocurrency App.
I have one selling point that no other app has to this date, but I dont want to mention it here.

I guess my App could be illegal in some countries.
It will include smartcontracts, blending the online world with the offline world.
A great opportunity for people to make some extra money on the side.
Hint: It's not about sex.
And it's not vaporware, it would be a real benefit for users as it satisfies a certain demand/niche.
The demand is definitely there, but something like this is still frowned upon by most people.
But hey, Bitcoin was also said to be going nowhere for years and years.

I will tell you all the details in future in case my project is successful.

I am based in Austria.
What's the best way to raise capital?

Doing an ICO? Or first talk to Business Angels and Venture Capitalists from Austria?

I guess I should write a business plan first and then hire someone to make an ICO website/app draft and then show this to potential investors. Then starting the ICO for the masses.

I already wrote a whitepaper draft while I was intoxicated with alcohol and abusing prescription medication, that's how I got the idea in the first place.

Help work on pocketnet.app
It's still in the beta and they plan without central authority so devs get an extra bag on top what early adopters can get.

Lack of legal entity is the best protection against frivolous litigation.
If you join now I give you a small bag.

Russian Philosophy major dumped his perpetual motion machine scam on the entire world and raked in hundreds of millions.

Cocepts are worth something but it is so rare that you probably will never call it in advance like me.

I am currently unemployed, but I've just found out that our national unemployment agency offers a program to become self-employed. They provide consulting and help for the first 6 months.

I am definitely gonna apply for this.

Actually sergey's execution was flawless, and it was not based on good tech.

It all started when he pretended to be partnered with Swift by creating a POC using their public apis that anyone can use. This created huge FOMO and made him 32mil.

Then he made KYCed centralized oracles, which is extremely trivial to make, and it took him 2 years, which I guess makes sense when you know nothing about programming your team is probably barely doing anything and you can't tell cause you can't code yourself.

Then he somehow got in contact with Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud, who both release hundreds of articles per year shilling their services, because they are both extremely lagging behind AWS and Azure in the cloud biz, so they are extremely desperate. Both those marketing department jumped at the opportunity to do some clickbait blog posts with blockchain in it.

This bumped the marketcap to literally $4billion because non-programmers think those are real partnerships. Note that by this point he still has 0 real active users, and still hasn't built anything remotely decentralized as promised.

That is literally perfect execution.

>never selling
who cares, everyone else is, including the devs
>you had 2 years
you had one month to sell before the devs

You forgot the acquisition of Towncrier, which was used to siphon funds out of the company for the inevitable asset liquidation.

Serious answer: Don't even bother if you can't get a working prototype up and running BY YOURSELF. Ideas mean nothing. If your idea is as revolutionary as you claim, network your ass off and partner up with some capable programmers and hopefully they will work on it for free lol

You WON'T get seed investment on your own, and you certainly won't get any money without anything to show for.
