If there existed a hole where waste was automatically removed, food automatically appeared at regular intervals, the temperature and humidity was correct, and once in awhile a mate appeared- a snake would NEVER leave this hole if they found it, except for very particular and extremely active truly nomadic species.
Your goal as a keeper is to create this hole, but carefully and interest and a certain level of "safe discomfort" and irregularity so your snake has mentally stimulating experiences while being provided for. Honestly its debatable if even this is necessary, these are not animals with the mental capacity for depression or sadness - fear yes, satisfaction with the current stage of things, probably, hunger yes. But anything beyond that is putting a human mind into a snake body.
Not all animals are like that, I dont think animals are incapable of matching or potentially even exceeding humans for emotional needs and intelligence, but that's not snakes.

Anyway - my snakes do get sunlight, branches, hiding places, a proper rodent diet with period live for interest and exercise (though I always wrestle with them so they exert and constrict as though they need to kill the prey), and for the ones where handling isnt very stressful I take them out to explore almost every day.
They dont get any inherent pleasure out of slithering through grass or dirt vs carpet the way we would, they dont have an aesthetic sense, they don't care about hiding under a rock or a cup as long as they squeeze the same, and they dont actually want to move more than would be needed for food or finding another hole.

Any fish unironically has more severe demands than a snake.

Also if you ever place a human life above an animal life in your volatile hatred and justify murder, you become equivalent to a rabid animal yourself, and should be put down

I love how those arduino boards have tons of sensor attachments, I think they'll be used a lot in the creation of the database

Technically I made it once (forgot to sell and get into real passive income) What I did:

Basically I reached absurd gains and lived comfortably for a couple years. Bear market wiped me mostly clean. But I did it once, shouldn't be hard to do again.
