the thing about the DUSK network is that it was only ever a matter of time before the DUSK channel would be broken into. The only way that could happen was if the DUSK channel suddenly became unprofitable, or if there wasn't enough interest that the community would be willing to maintain it. While I really wanted a community driven DUSK channel, I didn't want any one player to determine what the channel would or would not have been. So the question was not "what do people want?" nor "what new content will people get up to", but rather "will the community as a whole like the content, and when they do, how do we make the channel a success?" One week of making content for the DUSK channel is not going to be enough. I wanted to find a way for our community to be more involved, I wanted to find ways to get players to join the channel in the first place, and I wanted to try and make ourselves and the rest of the community involved with the creation of content for the channel.
In an effort to get the community on board, I came up with two ideas that quickly came to mind . The first was just to create an in-game community for everyone to contribute to and learn from. The second was to do something fun with the channel. One of the ideas that came to mind was the dusk team never mentions this giveaway
