Well from time to time precious metals just adjust to the economic base. Since the economy grew but the amount of gold or silver staid relatively constant it should go up in value.

Silver can easily do 4-6x from current levels without anything special happening. Of course if the monetary system changes then all bets are off.

Remember when Chris Duane used to make videos teaching people about world history, how money works, societal cycles, etc? Now he sells T-shirts and his generic silver bullion at the same premium as the US government. It is in fact generic silver bullion, since when you take it to a pawn shop or coin store they will often times only give you spot price on government minted bullion. Some of his designs are cool, but I find his motives very questionable.

why? why not invest in something like JNJ that will literally pay you 4 times per year just to hold the stock and you'll also get stock price appreciation along the way. you don't pay taxes on the price appreciation until you sell (if ever) and you only pay 0-15% of your dividends in taxes depending on your income.
