anyone who sells before this hits $1 per coin is retarded. Renvm will solve interoperability without bs hubs like cosmos. You will by the end of the year be able to execute a smart contract on Ethereum that influences a smart contract you decided to create on Tron.

Not to mention the kyc-less darkpools and private finance protocols that will be launched all powered by darknodes.

Minimum 500k to make it, but people are high if they arent holding at least 1 node worth.

False.
Kyber already has a running mainnet on Ethereum and is currently expanding the protocol onto other smart contract platforms.
Not to mention has incredible adoption from DeFi services.
Refute this FUD and I'll buy a stack 100ETHs worth because decentralised liquidity is something I'm interested in, but Kyber has first mover advantage and much better ROI potential

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Kyber doesn't offer hidden order books.

The focus of REN is to provide liquidity "without exposing sensitive information such as privce and volume at a certain position"

Essentially REN is an old idea being applied to the crypto space. It's widely used in equity markets.

Does kyber use atomic swaps? How are their interoperable transactions done?

>> No.14968426

>>14968312
they don't do atomic swaps at the moment, but they've already made it clear that Ethereum is step one and the protocol is what they're invested in, and spreading across smart contract platforms and interoperability is where they're going.
I just find it easier to invest in a software team that takes small steps and irons out small issues along the way (Chainlink) rather than promising something big and encountering big show stopper problems (Request Network).
do they have a mainnet yet?

Nightfall doesn't do what you think it does. It will allow you to create semi-private ERC20/721 tokens. It doesn't provide full privacy as you can still see some inputs and outputs (not what you want for dark pools). You can't use Nightfall "against the reserves on the Kyber protocol", that's just not how it works.
Maybe if Kyber entirely rebuilt their stack on top of Nightfall-wrapped tokens, but even if that were possible you would still be missing cross-chain interoperability and hidden order books.
I also do not care that much about the VM/interop. I'm in it for the dark pool fees.
>>14968426
This is why I bought: https://twitter.com/renprotocol/status/1143901166318891008
The LINK/REQ analogy is a good one. REN is definitely on the LINK side of that spectrum - the demo in the tweet is the first small step. It will be like a cross-chain Uniswap.

>> No.14968856

>>14968623
>>14968725
Huh? REN had their RenEx running since February. They then decided to extend their dark liquidity pool offerings by factoring out the runtime into RenVM and offering it to anyone who's interested. So, their iterative approach is similar to ChainLink's.

>>14967774
You aren't completely wrong that the 0x/Kyber stack is a competition and they are live for some time. REN's success is completely dependent on how they achieve adoption. In principle, they are superior to 0x/Kyber (anon features, faster order matching through their network of service nodes), but it remains to be seen who wins.

I do own KNC and ZRX, but my REN bag is bigger, neither Kyber nor the 0x guys have been aggressively gunning for adoption, the first RadarRelay versions were a disasters and it still isn't used by many. I think REN's team is much faster and more agile.

This is a low hype project, and it's trying to tackle a specific problem. Just keep your eyes open, definitely a project to follow.
